I am not a troll and i think overall Shire is a good company. Having an afternoon off at meetings was always a nice gesture that the company always provided before kk came on board. I'm not sure if it was a coincidence? They also used to provide/pay for spa days, golf, or other activities during that time off which was an amazing way to show we are appreciated. At this point I would be happy just getting the afternoon off again. Off does not mean forcing us to go somewhere with our zone.

Is what TOP companies do to retain and attract top candidates, companies that value their employees and show it. I've worked for companies that used to do this and some still do. Coming in on a Sunday to a work meeting shows just how little they value family and work life balance. It's unfortunate that they did away with that if they did do it at one point bc I think it makes people feel appreciated and more productive.

Since the BL invasion things have gone downhill here IMO.

They save money by having you stay over a Saturday night. Now that's our girl using her head. Way to think about the shareholders Kathy.
What about the employees, morale, work-life balance, being valued? So let me get this straight we have to come in on A SATURDAY, be there on a Sunday, be at meetings ALL week. Then come home Thursday evening and turn around only to LEAVE OUR FAMILIES ON EASTER SUNDAY AGAIN for training!?!? What the fuck?

What's this about leaving for training on Easter Sunday? Is that true?
Please tell me you are misinformed
No I think that person is correct.
The NSM is 3/19-3/24 (Saturday - Thursday). Training is 3/28-4/8 (why two weeks for one product?) In order to be there to start on Monday 3/28, Sunday is a travel day. Sunday is Easter.
