the worst news about this take over is one of the people shire picked up. anyone ever heard of patrice sutherland? somehow she bullshitted her way into abh. obviously nobody there did any type of due diligence. patrice was basically run out of sanofi due to all of her crap. she fought, scrapped and scraped her way to an rd role and everyone knows she finally got it because she was minority female who made enough waves and needed to be shut up. well, she and her vp did not get along very well and who do you think won that one? she of course went out on disability for about 4-5 months so she couldn't be fired. word was that if/when she returned she was going to be put on a plan. well while out on disability, she had her knee fixed and managed to find a job as vice president of some eye drop company. she quickly brought in her boyfriend as some executive type. well this job only lasted about 6 months and my guess is she was fired. could have left on her own but my guess is they saw through her bullshit, found out she hired her boyfriend and was given the boot. somehow she arrives at skin is us and nobody checked into any of this. if they would have, she would have never been hired. by the way, she was also a plaintiff or lead witness in a lawsuit against sanofi. you can look it up and see her name. abh should be very very careful with this woman. she is like the trojan horse. comes in good but with a lot of shit to deal with if things don't go her way. beware. if you don't believe me, go to the sanofi board and post her name there and see what responses you get. she became known as the anti christ at sanofi.

Everyone knows what we do. It's no secret. Hell, at the meeting people got in front of the entire room and were talking about their successes and would say, "I was working Vascular clinic on an Abdominal DFU....." and the entire room would bust out laughing. It's no secret, just management trying to turn a blind eye to the practice of selling off label. And I guarantee you, they will hang people out to dry when the truth surfaces.
The question is, are they firing any reps yet? I hear they are essentially scared to let people go because of the fear that they will in turn just become an informant.

This acquisition is great news for Shire reps and terrible for the current ABH reps. The dermagraft reps average 175k per year and have several thousand dollars per month to spend on entertainment with customers. ABH does not follow ADVAMED/PHARMA guidelines and can still do all the entertainment/dinners, without limit, that used to happen 15 years ago. Many unethical things have happened with this company. As far as the compensation, it will certainly be scaled back to a more 'pharma' model.
I guarantee you that half the current dermagraft reps leave in the next six months. This will open up great opportunities for current Shire reps. It will get you outta the pharma stigma.
