Not good

Funny thing, I just got a call from the Manager I interviewed with for the Account manager position in Florida, I was not offered the position but was in second place. This manager said to be ready he wants me now. Guess whoever got the offer just backed out, Should I take it?

Second choice boy-

Don't take the offer. You were second choice to start with, and the manager will always remember that. In the future any mistakes you make or poor sales data that comes in will remind the manager he made a bad choice in selecting you. Stay where you are and be glad you were rejected.

Take it and find a better hospital sales job in one year...

Abilify tabs has been out for a decade and all account managers hired went to training and continue to go to training learning tab pi and material. You idiots from other companys(BMS) can continue to post your comments but unlike others companies hiring for a first to market drug or first approval we already have abilify to sell until depot is approved.

Maybe....in 9 months to a year. Will they carry a sales force that long? I doubt it.

Really? Are you nuts? Have you never been part of something like this in your entire career? An issue like a third party vial of water does NOT take months... I have been part of launches with REMS programs that received worse CRLs and it took less than 9 months! In reality they could probably launch now without the vial since that was the only issue. What clinic doesn't have sterile water???

For anyone on this thread that cares about facts here is what we are talking about.
A complete response letter indicates that the review cycle for an application is complete and that the application is not ready for approval. The FDA starts a new review cycle afther the resubmission of an application following receipt of a complete response letter from the company. A resubmision is a submission to an NDA that purports to answer all of the deficiencies that need to be addressed by the applicant before approval as set forth in a previous action letter. More than likely we will qualify for a class 1 resubmission. Now you may ask what is a class 1 resubmission. Well I'll tell ya. A resubmission of an application or efficacy supplimental that FDA classifies as a class 1 resubmision constitutes an agreement by the applicant to start a new 2 month review cycle beginning on the date the FDA receives the resubmission. That my friends is why you are hearing a 90 day possible delay. The faster we turn around the response the faster the 2 month review cycle begins.
And to the above poster that believes that any old sterile water would work, your an idiot.
Hope this helps clear things up a bit. Straight from the inside!!!

You are awesome! Thanks for the insight! And since there are a finite amount of people working on this with intimate knowledge it makes it even easier to find out who the poster is... Straight from the inside!!! Nice to know the Otsuka training department is using CafePharma to disseminate information! See you at your cubicle in a few days for a little chat! Straight from the inside... down the hall on a different floor!!!

Sparky, you are living in the past! The FDA has greatly tightened up its requirements and is now taking much more time for drug approvals at all levels of the process. You may be in a hurry to see it come out, but the FDA is in no hurry to get this drug out. Just look at the delays in all areas of new drugs. If you have a job and have been offered a position with Otsuka, don't take it until this drug is completely ready for market. Much brighter people than you have made this mistake. Don't learn from you own mistakes, learn from other's mistakes. Ask your hiring manager if they will guarantee this drug will be on the market in 3 months and carefully watch their reaction.

This is only a SIGN of things to come....thought the grass was greener? HAHAHAHAHA!

Depot has tons of issues! They lied on application to FDA and vials is a small thing discovered that they leak and not sterile. Truth be told!

Otsuka is the worst pharma company out here... treat us like we are fucking 15 year olds and management is the WORST I have ever seen.. especially if your in the East under MS... complete idiots!

Otsuka Pharmaceuticals on University Square in Princeton, now that's a fucked up company. It's made up of all BMS AND CEPHALON REJECTS TERMINATED DYSFUNCTIONAL IDIOTS!

Otsuka will promise you the world and deliver shit. They pile you up in one person offices with three people. You have to jump over another desk to enter and exit your office and that's at director level! What. Truly fucked up place is Otsuka, it's all of the BMS REJECTS FIRED!

Is this spoken by a home office person or a contractor?

ots ka is a second rate company with pfizer, bms and jnj rejects. They thinks that the culture is so different and the chicks get that feeling in their leg when they hear bo speak. how much cool aid do these people drink? how about management take the ipad/ paperless and technology and their "strategic management matrix and stick where the sun doesnt shine" Never seen a place where the managment does not have a business plan when they have been in market for many years? what have these great tablet reps been doing for last year? they could have done tehir job and helped profile accounts and get some solid account level information. Hey who moved the vinegar? It goes to show when you have leaders like the one occupying the white house what you get ? incompetence breeds uncertainty. Truth hurts.

I disagree. We are getting ready to make a huge launch of Depot. It will be a major advance and a huge success for all of us. We have been diligently preparing for this launch, getting our account reviews and business plans together. This gives us more time to make a huge impact.

Not good? Should have expected it after the way the interviews were handled sooo unprofesdionally! Mayb it will give them time to adjust the price so the government will pay for it! LOL LOL LOL

If your version of handling interviews unprofessionally was not hiring someone who can't spell or put a sentence together, you're probably right.
