Okay, I understand what you are explaining, but I have one issue with that. I work in the North Central and my manager and director are not worth a shit, why would they not be cut?

OP says all bottom reps will be cut. What does that mean? Do you take an average rank over a number of years? Do you go by the latest ranking? Do you go with area managers subjective ranking (hello lawsuit)? What if they are deciding between 2 reps, one with 1 year of tenure and one with 4 years, how's that decided? Unlike most of the blowhards on CF I will freely admit I don't have a clue. My best guess is that they will put an index or ranking on each geography based on where they NEED reps. Then, the rep working that specific territory or the majority if it will keep his or her job. I've seen this happen time and time again. Then you eliminate subjective measures. I could be wrong, time will tell. Honestly, I can't decide if I want to sick around with Teva or get the severance (mine would be the max).

Agreed, but we need a number count of projected cuts and an announcement date to make informed decisions for our families. I bet a good percentage of the reps who have left would have strongly considered staying, if they had known these two variables.
 
























I am ready to move on. But only a complete idiot would resign at this point with severence possible anytime. I am still doing my job every day, but would really like a date to have in mind. I am going to resign if I don't get a package anyway. I sure hope they allow us to electively choose it. Before someone posts something nasty, I am doing my job now, I, too, have a family to support, and, yes, I also have something else lined up. Just give us some dates!

You are doing exactly what they want you to do. Why do you think there is no new information going out on e mail. Believe me my friend, I really appreciate your situation. Don't hold out for something that could affect your family situation. If you have something concrete move on and don't wait this thing out. Take care of yourself and your family now instead of running the risk of job hunting during the holidays and into the first of the year with thousands of others who are unemployed. As I said in my original post...it is going to be mid october before anyone in field sales knows anything. RD and Mgr year end reviews have not even been completed yet. The fat still hasn't been cut yet. This will be lean pharma where only the top producers will be kept.
Now calm your asses down and control the controllables - Sell for gods sake!
