Why would any manager in this company even dream of attempting to hold a low performing associate accountable for performance? HR and legal have a history of demoting or firing leaders at the drop of a hat or first complaint from a disgruntled low performer. Oftentimes the complaints are outright lies and misrepresentations and the manager is assumed guilty without any chance to defend themselves. It’s happened multiple times over the last year. HR and legal are running amuck without any checks and balances to protect their field leaders. And how in the world can any organization become high performing when they punish their sales leaders for trying to hold folks accountable and reward mediocrity? This environment is toxic and it’s time to drain the swamp.
