No Wonder His Last Name was SMILEY

LOL! His affairs have been going on for years. His long term affair with Jill over 10 years ago ended his marriage. Wonder why it's only now it's become an issue??? Someone must have felt "scorned".

His ex-wife was and is tremendously attractive. And it appears he has cost himself $20M+. Shaking my dang head. Losing so very much and for what!?!????!?

had no idea! Figured those closer knew about it. White men and white women are notoriously bad at being discreet. POC aren’t allowed at the top so hard to say if they’d be discreet or not.

This story is soo sad. Lilly is a great company. With all of the political movements and continuous push for respect for all individuals, I am surprised that this could still happen. I hope that all individuals involved and women impacted by this person really are able to get help. These type of men can really have lasting emotional impact on their victims.

This is not a great company. It's filled with people who advance on relationships and not merit and getting "in" with a senior executive is encouraged as a way to advance. Until that changes, this won't.

As a leader, we are responsible to demonstrate the values of the company we work for. If we as leaders don't abide by the defined values and etiquettes then how come we can expect employees under us be the ones leading tomorrow?

I believe that these sorts of missteps could be prevented with clear, authentic conversations among leaders about why relationships, with junior employees, even if "consensual," simply cannot be tolerated in a workplace. Senior leaders will always flatter junior employees but need to remain at a level that doesn't cross the lines.

I've attended 3 leadership training sessions where "sponsorship" by senior management is talked about as essential to advancement here. We tell people that you need to get "in" with an executive. Our values encourage this sort of fraternizing.

To this point, these women thought it was a way to get promoted and advance. Do they think this is supporting the company core values ?
