Have you met with the local manager yet? You should get a call on the phone numbe you submitted on your application. You will sit down rather informally with your local manager for about an hour and "get to know" him/her and he/she will get to know you. The process is hurried because Merck went through it weeks ago. Most of them already have verbal offers. Written offer for them come by 16 December with start date in second week in January. national meeting in February. Salaries from 90-120 per AD in training.
 












Seriously. We kicked them so hard to the curve - they didn't even see it coming! Those losers don't even know how to sell a ice cream sandwich on a hot day in Washington DC. I hate Merck so much. I would not even walk on the same side of the side as one of their reps. We know how to sell; we should get every job at abbvie; we should get every open job at Genentech. We should get every open job at 3 rivers, fishers pharmacy and at Kadman.

I know that I am competing against several high quality reps including a merck rep. She is a decent human being and we get along just fine. I have sat down with my manager and she was very pleasant. She did say that I was a lttle late in the process but that I should hear something by next Friday. hope that helps.

I did talk to TC earlier this week, but he did not give me a firm offer. It was more like he was feeling me out as to how low he could go / or if he could match my current salary (115k) . We discussed all other sources of income. Well, the income we used to have. It looks like the job is mine if I want it. just not sure. They will not be launching till next year when Gilead launches their all-oral and it will be a real tough sell. They are also over-hiring (to the tune of 220 - according to AD) I think there may be a layoff in their not too distant future. I do not want to do this again in 1 1/2 years.

Oh, one more thing. Again according to AD - the HCV trainer; Who wants to sell a RibaPak for a year!!!!! Not me.

good, I have quite a few questions. I don't have AD's number, so thanks for sharing TC's. I also heard that Abbvie has a fascination with Vertex reps. They are a very smart company and I cant wait to join and go through training with AD! Especially since he is helping us navigate through the muddy waters of getting there!
