If what you are saying is that only infection and organisms may be sent to Triage, that does not make sense. Triage is for slides with borderline or questionable cells. It documents the readers of the slide, enhances QA, and reduces the necessity for pathologists to review negative slides. Using Triage just to verify infection seems pretty lame and a waste of productivity. But on the other hand, it does make sense if Triage, for whatever reason, doesn't want to do real work.
