Exactly. And the problem was that the docs only wanted the Nexium samples and then the PSS would get back in the office and detail on the other drugs and never mention Nexium. Nexium is getting a lot more mention in the offices now it's not just being clicked and shipped.

What an amazingly wonderful job the CSA's and the GI sales team for PSS has done for Nexium and AZ!! WOW!! Nexium was down ONLY 16% in the U.S. for 3RD Qtr.. 2011!! Yes sir, AZ has got to be mighty pleased with this contract!! Why I believe this is the way it's been since the first day with you guys and girls!

Let's don't forget AZ's management team for signing the contract. What a bunch of smart guys they are!!!

Hey Ace,I hope you sell Crestor,so we can talk about your sales decline when Lipitor goes generic next month.It's all about minimizing the bleeding. Look at the Crestor MS in January(if you are still @) and you will see it dropping like a rock,with each month in further decline.WOW,WHAT A SMART GUY YOU ARE! Get back to me in January with those declining Crestor numbers!!

Couldn't have said it any better! The bleeding might have been much, much worse without the CSAs and the Publics GE reps. If you take into account Managed Care, Generics and OTCsthe bleeding is a trickle instead of needing a tourniquet.

Yes, let's make sure we check how Crestor is doing after the Lipitor generic in a a few weeks!
One more question for the original poster to ponder: How is Vimovo doing, in light of the availability of OTC Naprosyn/omeprazole and the lack of managed care coverage -- even with the generous savings card offer?
 






The contract for Nexium and Crestor, has got to have the big wigs at AZ wondering if they made the right decision. The AZ rep is right when they point out that Nexium has dropped like a rock since we got it. I don't think AZ would be happy with the theory that the bleeding was just a trickle instead of gushing. Think about it. Why in the hell didn't they just let the AZ reps sample Nexium along with their other drugs, instead of the CSA's? The contract never made sense and doesn't to this day. AZ will cut us loose eventually, especially when Crestor starts to tank. Contract sales is a weird business.

Nexium is the #2 most prescribed drug still,so each day that you can protect and preserve that,despite the generics and MC requirements on generic use first,is a plus! Go find a job so you don't have so much time on your hands to comment on something that you don't have a clue about!

Read this. Nexium is the #2 BEST SELLING drug for 2010. It's not even in the top 10 MOST PRESCRIBED drugs for 2010. Do a little better research next time, because it's obvious that you DON'T have a clue about what you are talking about! And don't accuse me of being an AZ rep because I'm not.
