Was told we would hear status within 48 hours...haven't heard a word. Anyone else? Any insight? Thanks.
Make it like cafepharma, but for different industries: over the years we’ve had suggestions for creating a site similar to cafepharma, but for different industries. Now there is a place. Check out CompanyUnderground for company forums in other industries. Don’t see a company? Request it here. Let your friends and family outside the pharma/medical sales space know they now have a safe, anonymous place to talk.
I have 11 years in Pharma and have often wondered why we spend so much on things like speaker programs that only loser docs attend and yet we are pushed to do more. I too wanted this job, was well qualified, Had the CMHC and Hospital experience, Buy and Bill, Schizophrenia, and Injection experience. Top level awards the past two years and nothing less than a meets before that. The DM liked me said I would be the right fit etc. RBD interview went well asked what I did in college and if I played sports....I did not, I was more of a science guy and speech and debate. Need I say more. No call as of yet. I have heard that the first round was more of an experiment than anything unless they felt there would be no other reasonable candidate or it is often a hard area to fill. Second and Third rounds will be more of the offers we had hoped for.
F the entire recruitment process. Horrendous mistakes made along the way. They needed to hire more recruiters to help existing recruiters with call backs. VeRy unprofessional.
Anyone involved in the Otsuka Interviewing/Hiring fiasco.. YOU MUST GO BACK AN READ POSTS from around November 2009 when OTSUKA Reaquired rights to Abilify and was building up CNS Spec Force. They completely screwed the pooch then and are completely screwing the pooch in the exact same ways in 2012. Yeah- I want to work for a company who is too stupid or inept to learn from their own mistakes... seriously- read 2009 posts at how many reps were completely pissed at how things were managed/mismanaged in recruiting-staffing.
Please tell me that they really weren't using college sports as a requirement?
Does that make you a good employee? Or just some body a mgr can talk sports with while having a beer?
At my interview we spent almost the entire time talking about my Division one athletic background at a major mid western powerhouse conference. I was "hinted" that my collegiate background would catapult me to the top and sure enough I got the call from the big man the next day wanting to bounce around old war stories about the glory days, I was hired that evening and if it was not for the athletics I would not have stood a chance as I only had 1.5 years in pharma and no psych experience! Weird.
