New Respiratory Job Postings

I just interviewed yesterday with Ashfield .. Managers will come from BI. This is a 1 year contract, maybe 2. $67,000/yr, 25% bonuses, 54 cents/mile, $600/month car allowance, $100/month cell phone, $50 internet. June 8th start date. with 3 days training for Ashfield. Places to be determined. June 14-20th home study. June 21 to 28th away. Selling Spiriva and Stiolta to Allergists, Pulmonologists and Internal Medicine. In the field July 5. 188 reps. This is also a pod, so you will overlap with some BI reps. A second interview will be a phone with Ashfield, you and BI manager. That's it. Good luck

Your figures are incorrect. Please get facts straight before posting here

$$ may depend on where you live. 70's with .19 cents/mile I was quoted this week. 2nd interview by phone call with only BI mgr who offers you the job. Most of the other info above is correct.

So yea, the money and mileage info I got from the recruiter. I thought the interview went well. It was with a woman and she wanted to know if I called on Allergists/Pulmonologists, she went through my resume, showed me the territory and did a complete explanation of Ashfield Healthcare. They have only been with contract sales reps for clients for 3 yrs. Before they were only concerned with nurse educators. She was also interested if you were ever in a pod because there will be overlap.

Hope these ashfield reps realize they are like "scabs". These people will be replacing our friends and teammates who's heads were decapitated from BI. I would count on this being a one year deal if lucky.

Everyone knows going into these interviews that it is a one year contract. Recruiters are upfront and told us. While many of us are sorry about the BI lay-offs, we also were laid off and that is why we are looking for jobs.

Bingo! Stupid BI does not realize that our positions will be filled with reps in limbo. Reps who will scrape the gum off the sidewalk whIle look for something else. I feel bad for everyone that loses their job but it's sickening that this is what is left CRAP while upper management continues to make the money.

Does anyone know if there will be a lunch budget with this job? Other responsibilities besides just 8-10 calls per day (programs, etc)? Asking because I was on a flex contract last year that was really a full time contract that just paid flex time money. I would love 20 hrs per week for $35k if it truly is 20 hrs including admin.

Yes there is a lunch budget. You will also be expected to do speaker programs and special initiatives. Work in the field 20 hours - then do admin on your own time.

I was on the Sprout contract with Ashfield. Big mistake. They are trying to be a real contract sales company, but just not ready for prime time. Lacking in support staff and sales leadership is shaky. Lots of manager turn over. No real career here, but they do pay on time. That's the best I can say about them. I know people who advanced their careers at Quintiles and inVentiv over longer term contracts and when their contracts end, there are lots of other contracts to move to. Not so at Ashfield.
