I have never even heard of a 1 week severance per year of service before. This is atrocious and shameful. I ask myself who are these people we are working for. Are they American haters.How can one of these Japanese leaders even show their face. The global ceo hasn’t even been around. He should quit too. I am embarrassed for the good people that work here. At least the ones that are left. I will never again work for a Japanese company. They have fallen from grace.

I have a lot of friends in the aerospace industry. 1 week per year is what they are told that they would receive during their last merger. I think that our industry and investment banking (and other groups in finance?) are far much generous with severance packages than the rank & file in Fortune 500.
