New hire

Does anyone know who the manager is in Chicago/Detroit area? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Only serious responses...please!

That's the problem.....if you can't find out on your own who the manager is then how are you going to find patients? I wish this company the best but the reps they are hiring are the _____.

typical stay inside the lines mentality, same mistakes as Dendreon and Seattle Genetics. Hire what they believe is the safest picks from big established companies with oncology background and watch them absolutely flounder in a real sales environment. I predict underwhelming sales.

Experienced Onc reps are the only way to go. Relationships are sooo important in this speciality since access is the biggest commodity and new people take years to develop them. Reimbursement is also a huge aspect of oncology sales and those with extensive experience worked in the days when this was a huge part of the job. They were also around before Oncology became a primary care type of sales job. I didn't go for this, but I know many of the hires and they were excellent reps and managers. I have more questions about the viability of the product than I do the hires.

They are not sticking to the ten year requirement. It seems to be a mangers decision as to who he hires and the base pay. Some with less than five years Onc. experience have been brought on board at 145K. Nice deal!

Just received an offer and really have to think this one out. I know that the product won't get approved until the end of November therefore as a rep you can't say much out in the field. I hope that they are planning to launch this as soon as they get approval. Any feedback from my peers that have accepted a position would be greatly appreciated.
