Hi I am wondering what new hire package is like? How much relo do you get and also how much new hire equity do you get ...I know may be different dependent on grade level. Also is sign on bonus too much to ask for?

New rep. I was paid in full for relocation. And $20k sign on bonus paid up front first day.

In HIV division...got 1200 shares vesting over 3 years...40k sign on. I heard inflammation is offering even better package in attempt to recruit top talent. The one thing I will say is the culture here is about performance and metrics- its not for everyone. Regardless of what they offer be honest with yourself if you can survive in a tough culture- this isn't Sanofi or Pfizer where everyone gets a prize.

I am calling BS on all this. Other than Gilead is a tough culture

wow! That is awesome thank you!

And definitely counterbalances the micromanagement you will experience from day one, the angst for not performing equally well to the closest P Club winner or for getting snubbed by the SLT during the POA meeting. If you’re really lucky and if S Burton is your fearless leader, you may get to rub his bald, misshapen head for good luck.

Corporate recruiter said the following:
$37,600 at plan IC paid quarterly
$15k of RSU’s sign on (vest 4 years)
Range of $13k-$18k of RSU’s annually depending on rating (meets, exceeds, exceptional - or something like that) also 4 years to vest
3 weeks vacation plus holiday shutdown as well as off the week of 4th of July
10 sick days
401k match 100% up to $15k
Said $160-$165k base was definitely feasible WITH rheum experience - without rheum experience, it won’t happen.

Good money, great benefits, but you’ll be selling the 4th JAK that competes with Abbvie’s which is exactly the same, but has preferred coverage given its bundled with Humira. Plus, Gilead is new to rheumatology, and the only 2 managers I know of don’t have rheum experience. They came over from other Gilead divisions. I’m not saying that rheum is hard to learn, but there’s still the learning curve. If another poster was honest about the manager saying that it was going to be a very scientific sell, that’s concerning. Rheum’s know how JAKs work. The concept of selectivity is not that difficult.

Recruiter asked for ranks and yearly evaluation scores for last 4 years, too.

Appreciate the info, am wondering if this base range is just RA or is this what is to be expected for HBV and HIV or can you give any advisement on range in those therapeutic areas. Much appreciated.

tough culture of performance, don't think that it is not
lots of micromanagement. just look at what they are asking you to do to interview, role plays. it will only get worse for a product that is 4th to market and not special
