new flex jobs posted

does anyone have details on live training. I heard 1/2-1/12 which is 10 days!! Seems asinine to send us to live training for that long for one product?! With Merck we were away 4 days.

10 days for live training does seem long for one product..5 weeks of full time home study also seems long. Any insight on how training will play out? A bit concerned about accepting position with no direction or concrete schedule...

Take a look at these articles and maybe you'll feel better about the position and launch. And yes, this is not just training, we are launching a brand new COPD drug that patients and doctors desperately need after years of products that they have been frustrated with.

And also look at the Flame Study.

Sorry to see so much negativity where you have flex jobs back in our industry paying this kind of money and this kind of package! I just received a printer, new IPad and case, new MacBook Air, and an Amex from Novartis. They are training us like the ol days and paying for efficient flex reps. WHAT THE HECK IS THERE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT??? Seriously! The Pulmonologist have been waiting long enough for this and some of us are actually excited about this and the possibility of flex coming back and being valued for its place in the industry once again.

I want to to be positive about this contract, but it already seems like a cluster. I need to send back the equipment I just received today, shouldn't have signed the storage contract they told us to sign, and now they are saying flex jobs are part time even during training. I was specifically told (and was later confirmed after receiving my offer call) that training was full time through Jan 12, including holiday week. On the call today we are told they will check the offer letter to see what was agreed to in terms of training hours, but guess what? I just reread the offer letter and nowhere does it state in writing that we are to be paid full time at all. Guess we are screwed for that. I blame Novartis for this and I will try to not be frustrated with PDI.

It was not in my offer letter but it was a condition I agreed to which was read to me. I bet legally they don't have to but if they don't do something morale will be very low for all going into a launch. Not good either.

same here. Verbal commitment that I would be paid full time, 8 hrs per day for all training till I hit the field, and questioned it when it wasn't in offer letter, and gained commitment again and that I was salaried flex time at 24 hours per week. Not hourly. I have been on a PDI contract that was a mess from the start to finish. I was hoping this would be different since Publicis took over, but I'm afraid it will be like last and training pay took months to reach my bank account and mistakes were made in amount of hours paid that took another month to correct. I won't even start on how they are having to make payment for the next year to pay me my bonus for Q4 2015. They will wait till after launch meeting to show us our target list and how big our territory will actually be, that will be a big surprise for some newbies also. Here we go again.

"Assembling the car as it's running down the freeway"..."bolting the plane together as it's taxiing down the runway". These are not confidence building statements. No training schedule for next week. Better to have the car/plane built before takeoff. Don't know many people fond of crash landings...

This product has been approved since Q1 2015 and was expected to launch last year. this week's training material has just been approved for next week? They just decided to switch iPads? What a waste of money all that shipping has been! I am a 13 year veteran of contract sales and so far this one takes the cake. If they refuse to pay us full time after promising it to us, I will start looking for another job. I feel like I can't trust them.

I guess you don't fully listen. They stated on conference call that during home study as well as our time in live training you will be full time. don't sweat the small stuff.

Trying to think of this sudden turn of events in a positive way. If it had continued the way it had been going, I would have been miserable every day of the contract. Never seen such a disorganized company. Surprised not surprised.

Totally Agree! Don't know what's worse their total lack of sincerity and understanding or just plain stupidity. They have to be the most incompetent unprofessional CSO. I will never consider working for PDI or Publicis again. Best of luck getting and keeping good reps and keeping contracts.

This is a Novartis problem. I have been on many other contracts with PDI, Publicis and inVentiv that were smooth.
