New Energy Quotas

Shitty compensation is the new J&J model. The harmonic scalpel and trocar doesn't need a dedicated sales rep. They don't need to pay you that much. J&J reps are a joke in the industry. Get over yourselves and take what you really deserve.

that's why I left, you can be 100% to quota and make half of your target comp. BULL SHIT

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but has anyone seen Applied Medical's new Energy device. I think they're calling it Voyant? They just gave a proposal to one of my customer's and apparently it's half the price of what we're charging. If it's anything like the rest of their products, I'm not overly worried because every doctor thinks they're products are terrible and they're not going to start risking their patients lives, but I'm curious if anyone has heard any rumblings of these guys.....

FYI, Applied is sending all of its reps out to its corp office over the next few weeks to get trained on Voyant. They've already sent their specialists and are starting to presell this piece of junk in some of our accounts. The expectations are to begin evaluations in the first quarter of next year. Keep your eyes and ears open boys and girls! You know they're only selling on price but clinically this thing is sure to be a POS.

Have you forgotten what the clincaly unacceptable POS trocar did to our market share and pricing. This isn't something to take lightly in my humble opinion considering our battle with Covidien right now.

If clinically being a POS is true, then why have we had our a@@es handed to us over the last several years with reprocessing? You are giving the doctors too much credit and too much authority.

A trocar isn't a energy device that is responsible for stopping bleeding inside a pt's abdomen during surgery. It will be interesting to see how this thing is marketed and how it compares to our devices, Covidien's, the Thunderbeat, etc. doctor's are sick of the back and forth with these med devices and aren't going to put their pt's safety at risk. Applied's shtick is to shoot for "clinically acceptable" so they don't have very high standards; kind of like the fat girl in HS!

But guys, I thought Harmonic 7 was a "game changer" so why worry?

So if doctors aren't going to put a patient's safety at risk, then why aren't they fighting a reprocessed Harmonic? Reprocessed devices are clinically acceptable. Like I said, you are giving the physicians way too much credit and authority.
