Holy shit! Did they even review these before they rolled them out? I guess they're just counting on everyone not working for a year until base resets. Starting my weekend today....shhhh, don't tell nobody.
 






Same thing for TL's. They have made the comp plan so difficult that just to make annual target bonus you would have to do very good! Guess that's why so many people are leaving. A lot have left recently in my region. About half are going to other jnj companies.
 
























And why is better than Har36 again? Oh that's right, its really not. Just makes it more expensive for your hospitals to be forced into using some bullshit me too product.
 






Anyone actually selling Energy right now? Haven't spoken to a single rep. who is. Most I've spoken to have inherited significant loses in Energy and are now significantly under goal. Either people are looking for jobs or waiting it out for base to reset sometime next year. What a dismal situation. A comp. plan that discourages you to sell. I guess we should be "thankful" that we have jobs.
 






Not to be the bearer of bad news, but has anyone seen Applied Medical's new Energy device. I think they're calling it Voyant? They just gave a proposal to one of my customer's and apparently it's half the price of what we're charging. If it's anything like the rest of their products, I'm not overly worried because every doctor thinks they're products are terrible and they're not going to start risking their patients lives, but I'm curious if anyone has heard any rumblings of these guys.....

Yeah don't be worried because their trocars and clip applies are not even in the same league as ours. Only problem is they are eating our lunch for taking our business.

I heard most of the energy reps aren't even trying to sell right now either.

The truth is, many territories have been affected by reprocessing or a contract change. Once that happens, you are toast and making ZERO compensation. Can't say I blame them. I've been in device sales for 20 years and I have never seen such a shitty compensation plan which actually motivates you not to sell something. My Energy rep. had to get a second job to make ends meet and is waiting for base to reset in March.

Waiting til base resets in March won't be relevant because the "ESR specialist" will be gone by then.

Shitty compensation is the new J&J model. The harmonic scalpel and trocar doesn't need a dedicated sales rep. They don't need to pay you that much. J&J reps are a joke in the industry. Get over yourselves and take what you really deserve.
