New Contracts

I actually just got offered the SA Allegra position two days ago. I am new to the industry and new to inVentiv, so any thoughts or advice (good or bad!) would be helpful. Also, would any of you say it's better/worse/the same to work as a two year contract for inVentiv vs. a two year contract as a fixed duration employee with Lilly? I got on their forum and everyone was very uncomplimentary to say the least. I am looking to stay in Pharmaceuticals after the two year duration and didn't know if it's hard to make the jump into full time, non-contracted employee status?! Thanks for your thoughts.

Stay away from this site if your new. Where r u from? What part of the country/ state?

by "stay away" are you leading me cautiously or do you mean that in an annoyed way since I am new? I honestly am trying on here so I can make a decision on two positions and thought I should check out these sites. I am just weary about any contract position after reading all these boards and everyone's negative views (on specific company's sites- i haven't exactly explored this one for inVentiv in full detail yet) saying that you can get dumped pretty fast...?

I think the poster meant that you will only get negative thoughts here. This kind of job is NOT for the ambitious type. If your lazy then it's the perfect industry

haha- well, i'm definitely not lazy, but i have been in outside sales for 5 years and have worked from home for the past 2... mostly in pajamas :) so I definitely know how to manage my time, hit my numbers, yet have a enough free time and flexibility in between that creates a bit of jealousy according to my friends :) I'll just leave it at that. I feel like every outside sales job I have had has been like that. Anyway, I am in Dallas, TX. The Allegra offer is coming today, so I am not sure on any specific details yet. Anyone else out there in Dallas and/or going to be on this team? I really have no idea how any of this is going to work out...lol ??????
