New contract 6498

when a contract ends prematurely, novaquest always states they are working on a contract and you will have first shot at it, abbott-pain contract 6275 ended prematurely also, most of those reps heard for months while still getting paid, they would have jobs as soon contract was signed and it never happened. Hopefully the reps from 6297 will be able to gain employment, but if I were you guys, I wouldn't be waiting around for novaquest I would be applying to everything that was in your area. Just giving sound advice from a former novaquest contract rep

I totally agree. Quintiles is NOT loyal at all. They'd rather go outside to get "new" reps than to hire reps they've already done background checks on, that have already been thru the onboard process and that have already been hired by Quintiles. It's DISGUSTING how they move forward with other candidates and not show ANY loyal to current or former Quintiles reps. It truly is not right. I am really disgusted now.

I dont' know if all contract companies work like Quintiles, but seems as if companies are at the mercy of the client so certain variables are out of Quintiles control. For example if the client wants new graduates, those with a lot of experience aren't in the running; if the client looks for specific experience, and you dont' have it, then that's another variable. It seems it would be much easier to rehire people, but doesn't always happen and things don't make sense.

As you will soon see..... if you're feeling they aren't loyal to you, there's a reason. Many, many have been contacted past two days with no interviews necessary, only 47 +/- positions need to be filled for various reasons, lack of performance on 6297, reps moved on, or new territory.

I agree with the need for positive comments, this post will soon stop with any other rep comments that have been moved over to the new. Start dates have been communicated to at least 80+% of 6297.

Regardless what is said, verbal confirmation by phone have started, and open spaces (50 or so) will be filled like normal, interview and offers sent out.

Other negative posts about how bad 6297 was and how Q is not a loyal company, maybe you should look elsewhere and stop posting if you're the minority that wasn't re-hired.

Good luck...

TOTAL BULLSHIT

$650 car allowance and wex card just confirmed if you were on 6297 and not contacted either no position in territory or you were not a good rep ..had this confirmed.. a way of weeding out the negative ones

It really is true, I have had the call as well. I think 6297 Reps are not "lighting up this board like Christmas trees" because we are just really thankful to have a position again and truly don't want to boast. We all know how it feels not to get "the call" and wish everyone whom didn't the very best of luck.

Now it makes sense, as to why the territories mirrored the 8822 contract. Read that the contract is with Lilly selling Cymbalta to othros.

Contract is with Lilly and the lead product is Cymbalta. I agree with those who have stated there aren't alot of postings from "rehired" reps because many actually realize how shitty it would be to gloat, especially when the circumstances were primarily the result of excellent timing vs. anyone's individual effort. It's been mentioned that other previously employed Quintiles reps will be hired in the territories still available on 6498. (wherever possible) and while it will likely take time for Quintiles to turn around the established reputation of not always being "loyal" to their employee's, it may be time to consider giving the benefit of the doubt. I do hope this entire team (6498) is comprised of 100% former Q reps. That's not meant as a slight towards outside applicants, by any means, but this industry is long overdue for at least one company (out of hundreds) to recognize the value of their own employees who are unemployed through no fault of their own.
