Neurology Interviews in Pa??

I worked for BIIB for several years and saw it through some great times. Sadly the company is going in the wrong direction and the reason for most of the openings is that people are leaving because like myself, the company has changed and not for the better. The drugs and the potential of the pipeline are outstanding, regardless of the risk everyone loves to hammer on. It's just so unfortunate upper management did not have the forsight to listen to an extremely talented salesforce and is now looking at PDI reps to sell extremely technical and important therapies. I am so sad to see the path the company has gone and can only hope that the old Biogen will someday return. Best of luck to all of you that are still there or will be joining the team!

In my region, the PDI reps have more specialty and technical background than the Biogen reps. Several of the Biogen reps only have primary care experience.

Oh please! Spoken like a good ol PDI rep?!?! The veteran BIIB reps were some of the best I ever saw and would run circles around any PDI rep out there. It was an insult to the ABMs to bring them in

Notice I said VETERAN ABM's!! Some of the new ABM's, yes, are worse than the PDI reps. As I said, several years ago, Biogen was a great company to work for with some of the best reps I have ever seen. Been going down hill ever since Tysabri was relaunched and panic set in.

I posted for a position in Pa for the Neurology division. I know that Biogen Idec had some cuts recently. Did it effect these jobs? The jobs are still posted on Biogen's website? Would appreciate some honest comments/news. Thanks.

You are most likely over-qualified. As it seems, the NE PA territory had 2 candidates with a ton of experience in the neurology world and/or immunology, however, they aren't drinking buddies with the current rep in the territory. So it was filled with some hack from primary care, of course.

As Novartis and other MS companies fill their ranks with seasoned specialty reps, here at BIIB, its all about who you know & who cares if your qualified. hmmm, but upper management wonders why AVX share is plummenting!!!!

sounds to me like someone is bitter because they lost their referral $$

I agree, that's why I left. When you hire senior leadership that only knows Big Pharma mentality, no wonder they want to hire Big Pharma primary care reps. They want sheep to just do what they are told......No creative thinking or creative ideas from their ABM's anymore.....
