I went to Rio about 15 years ago. It was a good trip and this was before their economy took off (everything was super cheap). The Cable Cars (Lift Car) that Connect Sugar Loaf Mountain and Rio shuts down during big soccer matches. I think Corcovado (Jesus Statute) also shuts down as well when their are big inner-city rivalry matches.

I was trying to use what little Portugese I still remember(Obrigado)-Thank You. It is a very pretty language. I do remember Boa Noche! Good Night!

Lots of new music groups and more expensive now. They're getting the city ready for the World Cup (2014) and the Olympics (2016) so much construction going on. We go to a wedding in 9 days in a little town near Paraguay. It will be a 4 day event for a girl (now a woman) who spent a year with my family as an exchange student 12 years ago. By then I hope to have what Portuguese I used to know back. Having an interesting time but it will be good to walk thru my front door in a few moe weeks. There's no place like home.

Yeah, this was the most dominant MSU Victory over Michigan since 87. I had no idea that the Defense was that good. That was also a mid30's recruiting class, versus a top15 class. All credit to Dantonio and his staff.
