NCAA FOOTBALL WEEK 14 PICK EM!! RIVALRY WEEK!! Cafe Pharma Pick Em Players!! Welcome to WEEK 14 of NCAA FOOTBALL PICK EM. We have 18 GAMES this week! This is rivalry week. This weekend there are some major match ups and teams playing for bragging rights. The biggest game being the IRON BOWL! The Iron Bowl use to be played in Birmingham and gets it's name from all of the Iron Ore that was mined here in these red hills of Central and North Alabama. Now the game is played at either Auburn or Alabama.

SUMMARIZED RULES:


1) Pickers who elect to remain anonymous are welcome, but must adopt an unregistered sport's board name (ie. BroncoBoy) to get due recognition for your picks. Please identify yourself with each post.

2) During regular season play all picks will be based on the "odds" or the "point" system reported by USA Today (SportsDirect) prior to the week's games. The "points" recognized will be the "points" displayed on posted "Pick-Em" schedule that will available for viewing 3-4 days in advance of the week's games. Should the "point" spreads change after the "Pick-Em" schedule is posted - the revised "points" shall not apply.

3) YOU CANNOT EDIT YOUR PICKS & POSTS BEFORE GAME TIME!! You may pick a Thursday Night Game and make the rest of your picks before 11:00 AM SATURDAY EASTERN TIME!!

4) Not all NCAA Div. 1 games will make the weekly "Pick-Em" schedule. Only those major games of interest. We are going for quality here. Not quantity. Games with a 21 "point" spread or greater are highly discouraged. If a picker wants to add an unlisted game contact the interim coordinator BroncoBoy.

5) All pickers shall show respect and courtesy toward their fellow pickers (BRONCOBOY!). A competitive spirit is fine. But let's keep it clean and be friends. We don't want to evolve into vitriol and mean spiritness that got the poli board shut down. Be nice to one another.

6) In the event of a board dispute on operational matters - all disputes will be resolved by the majority. There are no kings or queens on this board who have the final say. We are a democracy - and the majority rules. If the majority is only 2 people - so be it.

7) Post-season play (bowl games) shall be based on straight picks and NOT the "point" system used during regular season play.

If Mizzou wins, and Auburn wins, then they'll play for the SEC Championship.
If Alabama wins and Mizzou loses, then Alabama will play South Carolina for the SEC championship.
Or if Mizzou loses and Auburn wins, South Carolina will play Auburn for the SEC championship
OR if Mizzou wins and Auburn wins, they'll play each other for the SEC championship.

Hey BB, just realized that I bolded only and did not underline AND bold 3 games - so hope I get a pass on that, they were meant to be both bolded and underlined but those bolded were my picks. Just getting used to my PC again.

ALSO, the Alabama/ Auburn game is listed as Saturday but today is Friday and I'm watching it right now (?)

Bolding is just fine. As long as it is bolded or underlined I am good with it. Yeah the Iron Bowl was not today! Tomorrow is the big day. 12:30 kickoff for you on the West Coast on CBS.

Anyone watch the Oregon State Vs. Oregon game tonight "the civil war." Instead of the "Civil War," I called it "Halloween Vs. St. Patricks." Damn those jerseys for both teams were ugly.

It is amazing to see how Oregon has fallen so fast. Arkansas almost beat LSU today. I should have known that might happen. Arkansas always plays LSU hard. It is their Super Bowl.

Lot's of great games tomorrow!!! I hope all of you get some good rest tonight and are ready to watch some football tomorrow!

(I think) Large spreads at this time of the year aren't a good bet. Everyone is playing their asses off. Examples: Games 3, 4 & 6.
 












Agree Libs and I picked them. I didn't mention them because we'll have to wait and see the results today. Also picked Penn State +24 over Wisconsin. I'm sure some of the big spreads will be covered but of these five games, more won't than will (IMHO).

I was thinking the same thing about the Oregons game, that they were THE UGLIEST uniforms game in history!! Oregon's really looked like the Ducks that they are. I was really rooting for Ore ST--- that would have been a great finish to Oregon's horrible season. Unfortunately, for the PAC 12 though, now we don't have a dominant team to represent in the ROSE BOWL.

It must have been an old game (but then I'm an old game too). Cadillac Williams was playing and it was on baby!!!

And then I woke up.

Haven't sampled the new batch yet.
 






Damn, BamaBoy must have been sampling Vag's weed. No OSU/UM, no UF/FSU.

....maybe he's got Iron on the brain and forgot the other good games.
