NATIONAL SALES GROUP IS A SCAM!!

They called me today...typical BS about going to their website to begin scheduing interviews. When I told them I wouldn't give a CC number without reading info on their website or reading the hard copy papers they were to send, the salesman said they just don't get people jobs for free.

I said that is fine, but I wouldn't provide any info over the phone. He told me to have a nice day and hung up.

(((glad I pulled this up while the ass$$le was speaking!!))

ASN is another SCAM company on Careerbuilders that does the same thing. Charges you monthly with all the same problems mentioned above... and the jobs are a scam, too. Look up the same job description in a different city and it has the same phone number and job# listed for the matching job descriptions/salary etc.

Don't give a "recruiter" a credit card # for a job. Employers hire them and pay them if they are legit.

I also received a call from NSG and I have reported this company to the Federal Trade Commission and my state's Attorney General. I feel sorry for the people who gave this company their credit card info. Many people have been scammed by them. Go to www.complaintsboard.com and read about how people have been scammed. It's disgusting. If everyone who receives a call from this company called the Federal trade Commission maybe they would be stopped.

Thanks to everyone who spoke about the NSG. I was called by "Gabriel," who had a terrible attitude after I started asking legitimate questions as to why I should pay them before they do any thing for me. I asked him what the name of his company was and his hesitant response was enough for me to know that $29.99 was NOT a one time charge. DO NOT and I mean DO NOT fall for these people.

Ditto, Ditto, Ditto. I too received a call today. I spoke to Dallas for about 15 minutes, who at the end of our conversation asked me for my credit or debit card number. I replied with, " I've never heard of a search firm charging a fee." Dallas explained that the fees were shipping and handling charges. I told him that I would like to check out the company first. He promptly sent me an email which contained my user name and "temporary" password.

I decided to google, "Reviews of National Sales Group." Thank goodness I did. I found these reviews and many more on other websites all saying the same thing.

In addition to having a Professional Sales background, I have also worked in the HR sector. NEVER pay a fee for employment services. It's a big red flag to avoid that firm, and one like National Sales Group, like the Plague.

Remember, in the end, NSG will get their just reward and/or punishment. In the meantime, I wish all of you all the best in finding not just a job, but a great career with much success and happiness.

It will get better. Just keep the faith and put out positive energy. Thanks to all of you for your most informative posts.

love & light to all

I didn't want NSG's tutorial, only their services of 38 dollars a month (for interviews and job possibilities), in which I was promises gobs of opportunities. So I thought okay, I'll give you one month. The only gob I got were a few random emails showing me job possibilities 200 miles away from my home.

I contested the fee with my CCC and got my 38 dollars back. All I had to do was submit the webpage of complaints.

I WAS EMPLOYED WITH NATIONAL SALES GROUP. I WENT THROUGH 6 HOURS OF TRAINING AND QUIT. THEY CALL PEOPLE WHO POST THEIR RESUME ON CAREER BUILDER AND MONSTER JOBS. AN AUTOMATED MESSAGE IS LEFT BY "DAN" STATING THAT YOUR RESUME HAS BEEN RECEIVED AND YOU MEET THE CRITERIA FOR A JOB. WHEN THE PERSON CALLS BACK TO FIND OUT ABOUT THE JOB NSG BEGINS THEIR SCAM. THEY TRY TO GET YOU TO PAY THEM $29 FOR PRE-SCREENING AND THE GENERATION OF YOUR ACCOUNT, WHICH THEY SAY IS SUBMITTED TO OVER 700 DIFFERENT COMPANIES. THEN THERE IS A $9
SHIPPING AND HANDLING FEE ADDED. IF YOU FALL FOR IT AND GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD THEY THEN TRY TO "UPSALE" YOU. CHARGING AN ADDITIONAL $59 FOR AN ONLINE TEST THEY SAY EMPLOYERS REALLY LIKE, AND A BOOK. I WAS OUTRAGED. WHILE LISTENING IN ON A CALL I WAS THINKING DO NOT GIVE YOUR CC #. AT THAT MOMENT I WALKED UP TO THE BOSS AND SAID I QUIT. THIS COMPANY IS LOCATED IN SANTA BARBARA CALIFORNIA. THE ADDRESS IS 114 E. HALEY ST. SUITE B SANTA BARBARA, CA. 93105. THE OFFICE NUMBER IS (805) 884-0525. PLEASE CONTACT THE JOB SITES THEY WORK WITH AND REPORT THEM. REPORT THEM TO ALL POSSIBLE AUTHORITIES. THIS SCAM COMPANY NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!!!!
