Naptara

As someone said earlier... "sh@& show". Mass exodus is due to climate and culture. Now lawsuit threats against companies hiring Shire people. They fire indiscriminately but they threaten to sue if you try to find work elsewhere. Recently survey ranked Shire 26 out of 28 companies. Toxic place.

i'm applying for this position but now am scared. i thought shire was well regarded but this thread is making it look like shire is not.
Unless you absolutely are desperate for a position, please consider looking elsewhere. The benefits are pretty good here however it doesn't matter if there's no job security. The salesforce has a turnover rate of more than 50%. Many territories on their third and fourth wrap in less than two years. People are talking off label in many areas and No one is doing anything about it. Again, I know this website is generally full of nonsense however the majority of what is on here is true. I didn't think that when I took this position but I have regretted it since week four.

Not true. Turnover is not that high. Shire is still a good company. I've been here a long time and I worked at one other pharma company before this one. The posts about our CEO and nepotism and morons in upper management unfortunately are true but they will not ruin your day to day job unless they run the company into the which is a possibility. Most Regional directors are great which make a much bigger difference

And you will love trying to sell a $150,000/year drug to Nephrologists for their stage 4 ESRD and dialysis dependent patients. All "on label" of course.

ive been with shire fornicate a couple years now and it is a great company to work for. The pay and benefits are great and te metrics are very attainable. You could even double them if you worked a bit harder. Most of the asshats you read from on here are too lazy to work and want to get paid 6 figures for just putting on a suit in the morning. The only con I would say is that they are very reactive rather than proactive. If you get the job you will see what I mean. As far as all the BS about how awful the CEO is..maybe true but I am yet to have someone from the board call me or get into the car with me and change anything about my daily functions.

HR will be riding with you for a day though after your perverted first sentence...

I have been selling Natpara for one year and love it. Some people struggle to be successful in this job, but for me it has been rewarding. I hear how well patients respond to therapy and it has been amazing! Not an easy sell, but I am doing pretty well.

This is the best sales job I have ever had. Natpara sells itself. Biggest problem is avoiding the off label discussion - physician see multiple off label uses. One of my major writers believes that patients have smooth skin when they are on Natpara. Has probably 30 women using cosmetic improvement as the reason they are on Natpara for life.
