All day ive been getting blasted over this from my doctors. Patients are calling wanting to stop therapy and physicians are really upset.

These numbers can only rise over time. We are in serious trouble. SERIOUS.

You promote a drug where there is a risk that Gilenya could have caused the 11 deaths and say you can't change people dying so all this has nothing to do with you?

It is people like you why public has no trust in pharmaceutical companies, rightfully so! You should get a 1 for values and behaviours and no bonus. But I guess you're the first one to sue a company if the death had occurred to one of your family to get big bucks and because that's in your power. DISGUSTING.

Whoa - so the kids are growing up thinking life is just about the money? I am always amazed at the sick cast of characters that pharma companies hire - you're a new twist on the morally bankrupt, dissolute jackasses that remain.
 






Go look up the patient responses when Tysabri reported their deaths initially a few years ago. Patients have few options. More than 1 drug in this area have caused an equivalent number of deaths. Patients want options and many MS patients are quite well educated about the risks and benefits of all drugs available to them.

Now I'm not disputing that brand team communication has been a load of BS and leaves the field looking like kool-aid drinking hand puppets... 'fessing up to the fact that some drugs in the market carry a risk of death and we're committed to finding out what the issue is would allow you to save face with a PO'd doc who's had all of his patients page him before 9am...

There is nothing to 'spin' when it comes to investigating the potential relationship of a drug and mainly unexplained deaths. FDA and EMA conduct their reviews now, just hang in until they conclude. If you 'spin' and downplay it now and then either agency pulls Gilenya, your credibility will be damaged no matter what product you sell next.
 






That's terrible that there was no mention of the deaths whatsoever. I'm on the CV side and have had doctors mentioning the Gilenya situation to me as well.

I actually had an office remove ALL of their Novartis samples. Between Tekturna, Tekturna HCT, Valturna, Amturnide, and the whole OTC issue with Opana, Excedrin, and Gas-X--this office just removed it all--Diovan and Exforge included.

I didn't offer to replenish either--couldn't do it if I wanted to--I don't even have enough samples to keep my 4 major offices in...
 






As an MS patient myself, I find this thread sickening. Bonuses of the sick ? What kind of people are you ?

I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW THIS DRUG MADE IT TO MARKET......GIVEN THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION.

But really, I'm a moron because I suffer from MS....as do my kids, my wife and my family. And you're going on about bonuses for a drug that killed 84 in clinical trials and another 11 deaths reported in the media and to the FDA ?

If that's your definition of a moron, I think you should go back to school and learn a real trade. Obviously you don't have the intelligence to be a pharmaceutical representative.

The funny thing is....I suffer from MS. This company wants to make money off of me.

He (or she) is a pharmaceutical rep, and this company wants YOU to make money for THEM.

So, all we are really just $$$$$$$ for them either way.

Good luck paying your mortgage when the flow of money stops, and you don't get your bonus.

However Global knows CV problems are fact.

Ema is pissed about NPC attitude or "mindset/poise" regarding deaths involving infection.

Over 70% CT Pts were European
Remember freedoms2 is US equiv of pivotals involving Europeans

Toxo case? Pt still alive?
Crypto case? Pr still alive?
Adem case in Egypt? Just bad MS?
Seizure and pneumonia? Just bad MS

Considering NVS's track record lately, brace yourselves. Wouldn't be surprised if at the very least there is stronger language in PI, which would be the kiss of death. Completely pulling it from the market..don't see it happening.

Layoffs vs. no bonus payout...well that is a no brainer

If they are hoping for G. to be the next blockbuster, they really can't cut us and be competitive, and also "hope" to create the next $1B brand, they are banking on G. to help soften the blow of diovan going away, Reclast soon to follow, Tekturna family obliterated, etc.

Just wouldn't make any sense.

I am not in the MS division but I was wondering...Of the drugs that are Gilenya's competition, how many of them have carry black box warnings?? Which ones are they?
 


















Nobody HID any cardiac effects. Get your facts straight. It might help to learn what the mechanism of action is, duh. If you have underlying cardiac disease or crappy blood vessels then no - you probably aren't a good candidate for Gilenya. If you immunosuppress someone enough their risk goes up for whatever underlying infectious process that exists.

There isn't a drug on the market that isn't poison in some dose. If this one has signal it will come off the market.

Fear mongering trolls - go away.
