Bostwick Shutters AIPL after Only Six Months; Announces Tenn. Closure
March 2010
Main article
Citing economic pressures, anatomic pathology (AP) testing provider Bostwick Laboratories (Richmond, Va.) has shut down its Washington, D.C., metro-based American International Pathology Laboratories (AIPL) only six months after its launch, according to a company memo from CEO and chief medical officer David Bostwick, M.D., recently obtained by LIR.

On another note: Labcorps Q409 Revenues up 3.49% to $1.16 billion.... let's ponder this for about 3 seconds...Gee DGB, maybe it's not the economy....maybe it is some decisions that weren't so financially sound or maybe just plain not thought out at all... hummmmm such a puzzle.

The above is not rumor, the above is published and reported in the Washington G2 Report, March 2010.

It pretty much backs the rest of the so called 'lies', again ponder this:Maybe things aren't as great as DGB tries to make it seem, maybe is not a pretty place to be.

And yes kids, the truth sometimes hurts...

Hey Management,

How about some straight forward turthful answers?

What is the turnover rate for this great company that some are attempting to defend (include those fired, asked to resign, suggested to resign, those who walk out, those who give a notice and those who have been downsized)?

What is the turn over rate for this industry?

How many managers actually give turthful answers when asked? or How many give answers that will get them off the 'hot seat'?

When the truthful answers are given, what's often happens to those people?

How many managers had been replaced in 2009, with less quailifed individuals?

Why has this board been so active?

How many different Medical Directors has the company had in the last 3 years in all the different divisions?

How many VP's have quit in the last 3 years?

How many managers have quit in the last 3 years?

What sense does it make to keep Phoenix and New York open when only a very small fraction of the buildings are being utilized?

How's the stock price effected? HAHAHAHA

Let's just see if the person(s) who keep saying these posts are fake, actually answer any of the above.

This case was filed when it was discovered that overtime hours were being deleted, which is a clear violation of the FLSA. The only "win" Bostwick had was that the person being terminated for bringing the clear violation to the attention of an employee (instead of immediately to the department of labor) couldn't call that a retaliation. But the real issue of the case was the deleting of overtime hours.

You'll notice that that's the only thing public: the part of one case that was thrown out before trial. Anything that either went to court or settled out of court is nowhere to be found, except for the fact that the case happened. This includes the above case, the discrimination case, the AFIP case, and the gynecor case. And those are just the ones I could find via a quick google search. Thus, who knows what the actual results are.

The case is not over, in fact the original case has been remanded back to federal court and Minor will have her day in court. Bostwick continues the practice of altering time records to give the impression that no overtime was worked. Anyone who this has happened to should come forward. It is a violation of Federal Law. Case will be heard in Federal Court August 6,7 2012.

they need to contact the field tech's most of them have printed out their time sheets and however, actual hours do not match up.

So Bostwick defended itself and was found blameless-- the court found that they did nothing wrong. yet, there is still incessant whining on this board. Maybe all of the nasty posts were from the employee who filed the lawsuit and lost...with all the anonymous posts, one never knows. Other boards have shown that a single person can totally contaminate and pollute a site with numerous ravings, including discussions with oneself. Do not trust any post on this board unless you want to...

Bostwick was not blameless. In the circuit court. the original federal district court desision was reversed. Minor sued Bostwick becuase she complained to Bostwick executives such as Bill Miller that the time card of the employees were changed to "no overtime". Upon the receipt of the complaint, Minor was fired next Monday. This is a fact.
