Like RW West Point (Bld 1) has a toxic solvent plume underneath it, and it is moving off the physical site, ever wonder why some of the businesses around WP have closed and stood vacant? Merck purchased the land and keeps the that vacant. Merck would have to spend billions in remediation to the site. The only thing they could do is the same thing they did to Flint River, Bulldoze the entire thing and then try and give it to the state/township as a park!

Merck cannot depend on a single blockbuster to revive its hope of staying a viable company. Single product success is reserved for small and efficient biotech companies. This of course assumes that the market will support this drug to this level. Doubtful.
