Remember perception is everything in a large corporation. If you are actually joining Merck you should try to understand this. You may be the most brilliant and nicest person on earth but people may form a different view of you from your writing. In sales over the last 15 years we have an influx of (new) college grads. I have seen a corresponding drop in writing and computer abilities. The latter is more pathetic as the college grads are recent grads and in theory, more computer literate.
