MERCK CONTRACT AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK...... I am the original poster....... this contract is no longer AWESOME or fun but still works WELL with my life .......just terribly wish I had a door opener something like maybe a ....sample??? nasonex during allergy season, asmanex during asthma season and oh avelox during respiratory season....Just sayin' but I love the FLEX so I will FLEX ....I am having sales conversations all day long with no money and no samples hmmm, really trying hard... great products that could do very well with a little support ....

Meanwhile....my Merck rep has 30 cases of Nasonex at his disposal...

exactly the battery does last longer so mine is off but I work and my ratios are good so I am not worried if you have something to worry about it doesn't matter if it is off or on

Everyone has a car charger so battery life should NOT be an issue.

I have been told by my mgr. and so have the other reps as we work with him that we are not to turn anything off. There is a GPS and there will be a report that shows how many hours/calls, etc are done per day per hour. We were told to just work our 9-5 hours and we will be okay. 9-5 means exactly that 9 to 5 in the field NOT 9-4 and travel time.

We all know this was going to happen so I don't see what everyone is complaining about.

This is not true. We were told by our manager 6 field hours in field with admin and he'd time old equal 8 hours. I knowi work more than 24 hours I think I will document all extra hours, we can play that game too. Grow up

Just a heads up everyone...you can turn the GPS off the IPad (no surprise there) but you can also change the time under "general" then "dateandtime" just turn off automatic time update and switch it to manual...you can change it all day to make your call times be what you need them to be. (Been doing it since we received ipads) You're welcome.

Why go to the trouble? Why even think about it? What are you hiding? What are you doing wrig that you need to conceal your presence at work?

Our manager recently informed us that we are not to turn off the GPS. We had to reply to his email that we understood we could not do it. (Now he has it in writing...)

This is a flextime position. When you have achieved all your calls for the day it would be nice to end the day early. Maybe not do it everyday, but at least we have the option to do it. The iPad is just making things worse.

and no samples and no money and all no see doctors seriously NOT AWESOME job has gone down hill satisfaction in the Toilet!!!! Something needs to turn around

that's what you bought into here brainless. You're not going to have a budget for the type of meds you promote....just spread the word and get people to write.....of course they are no sees...it's up to you to find a way to get them a message. That's what contract work is all about, period.

Just keep collecting the check and shut the front door. Merck management is going to keep us for a longtime because we are financially good for them as opposed to a full time, full benefits
sales team.

True, but Merck also hates it when it gets short-changed by reps not working a full 8 hours in the field. (Note: I said field, not home office.)

I count drive time period!
I am an HOURLY EMPLOYEE!!! I get paid by the HOUR! maybe they need to add drive to their time sheet!!

Drive time isn't counted as far as PSS or Merck is concerned. It just isn't, sorry. You can count drive time all you like, but don't go pointing the finger at someone else when the ax comes down on your head.
