Matt is gone - why?

Matt Smith. Announcement stated "personal reasons". Good for him. I'm sure he found a better opportunity, although better than SN is just about anything else out there!

He probably got tired of the same BS of “We don’t have any more sets, wait you can have these other trays that aren’t not needed, but we also need your good kits for someone else’s conversion and Oh, by the way here is your bill for the sets we sent your guys that you didn’t know about but that are now lost and you have to pay for them!”

?thought he was going to be the trauma savior? Guess the opinion that he was a "one shot " sales wonder was correct. Typical, ride in on someone else's hard work and flameout on your own merit. LMAO, foooools!!!

He had 1 year to turn extremities around. He didn't. His problem was that he was a big talker and never did anything...or at least the right things to make extremities grow. Typical old school trauma....their entire career highlight reel was 10 years ago and yet they still base their value on it

Interesting that you call him "Typical Old School Trauma". What then, would you consider yourself?
Until you reply, we will just consider you the New School Master of Nothing.

Oh SOOO true! Only the typical mediocre S&N reps, managers and 1099s would wonder why someone would leave.

Most look at S&N and ask, "why do you stay?"

Matt was a great leader in a once great company. He saw extremities was not goin ta make it and left. Good luck Matt in the future.

You must be joking. At least I agree with you that Matt is a good guy. The guy actually left for personal reasons, not because one part of his business was performing one way or another. Regarding extremities sellers, I can't speak to that whole thing but word is a chunk of them with supportive managers are starting to crush it. I personally know of one who was only allowed to sell the sports stuff at first. I would like access to that new hammertoe product. A ton of those cases in my area. This thread has become a waste of time given all the clueless speculation.

So I assume your saying this, since Matt couldn't be success at extremities, all the rest of the salespeople selling extremities are also doomed for failure!

He had total control of trauma is what I understood so why was his problem with hitting his number!!!!! I believe you folks in upper management are just plain weak!!!!!

I agree. If I have to hear one more of these guys talk in January about what the did in trauma 10 years ago and how the are better than Recon and Endo I might shoot myself. Retire. Quit. Be like matt and call it personal reasons, just get out of the way of the ones who are really growing business in trauma can keep this company going.
