Monsanto/ Searle launched Celebrex with 750.Pfizer bought off our management for a co-marketing agreement, and turned things into a shitshow. After the first billion, WS’s Pharma analysts all agreed that Searle made a big mistake as they felt Pfizer added nothing to total sales with their 3k army of reps.
It was basically the same scenario with PD and Lipitor. Without the two products, Pfizer would have been the prey vs.the predator, and be gone, and Pharma would have been a better industry without them.
What goes around comes around and the demise of PFE is imminent.
