Mass Exodus

Sure, you are correct, but the libel-slander has hurt the brand. A ward boss politician with a history of abuse, and is no dummy, was talking on tv about how bad Zohydro is and how a close family friend, young man, had just died of an overdose that week. Zo had nothing to do with it, but it was a perfect opportunity...and he didn't even identify the real culprit. Zo isn't even available in that state.

The CEO should change the name at launch of the AD formula since the business and brand have been so badly tarnished, and the should be suing that states health department for all commercial launch and sales force related expenses in the northeast, as well as projected loss revenues over a 10 year type curve sales projection.

Then someone needs to sue to split PBMs from large pharmacy chains on anti competitive grounds...but we would need another Reagan in office for that one to work.

Most of those politicians are bought by Purdue.

If Zogenix had major balls, they would challenge the scientific, payer, and regulatory communities to devise an exit strategy for the availability of all non-abuse deterrent opioids, including Roxicodone and all other immediate-release opioids. Their spin: If the experts agree a blanket ban is warranted, we support it entirely and will comply with it. During the entire process, they reiterate every day that 30 mg of Roxi is no different than 30 mg of Zohydro.

It would take 2 years to complete anyway, by which time the storm has passed, and no one would ever agree to banning cheap generic opioids.

This would be a blast to watch.
