JM and his yes men forcing reps to go back into office no official product. Yes thats right nothing signed or said. I’m sure offices and doctors will kick reps out and be annoyed especially when you go into an office with no product, can’t even talk about a product or even set up an event. That’s getting in the way of patients to be honest. JM isn’t the brightest by doing that. Even if that’s legal. I guess he’s trying to impress whoever to try to get a co-promote.

I was mocked at almost every office I walked into, and if Kowa doesn’t realize this is reflecting poorly on them when they are forcefully sending us into offices without a drug to sell they are mistaken. Their reputation is already in the toilet, why are you sending reps in without anything to offer the physicians or patients? Can’t even schedule a lunch. Kowa why do you continuously fail us? Jeff and Jason how and why do you think this is even remotely appropriate. Get the damn contract signed have us properly educated and trained on the drug and THEN send us out with the companies dignity at hand. You guys need a consulting company or something to teach you how to lead a company because this ain’t it. I have kept my mouth shut these past several months hoping that you would lead appropriately when the time is right, but as someone who has been with Kowa for YEARS I am done defending the current leadership team. I’ve lost any semblance of respect I have for them.

You could have not said it any better! JM and JF aren’t qualify to do this job as we have learned based on experience. I’m shocked Kowa Japan hasn’t realized that. They have ran off all the good reps and have gave the current reps a bad reputation. Why the heck would a HCP want a rep with no product, nothing officially done, no lunch or snack to come into an office!? Just to say “oh we have something coming”. Kowa reps have been embarrassing themselves and losing all credibility since Livalo ended. No doctors want that. SEG was a disaster, BlinkRx was a disaster, and the “blockbuster” drug Kowa thought they had but failed in the clinical study. No pipeline, nothing signed.
 






Why do they think doing ride alongs now will actually be productive?
They don’t. It’s just JM trying to buy time and act like something will happen. “Oh the “ omaha “ launch event will be in February or March. You can’t take ANY PTO for 6 months” oh wait never mind it failed. “Now we are project “ arctic “ it may come in September hurry go out and annoy all your offices for no reason!!!” - sincerely, JM.

I agree with everything you said. It is an embarrassment to walk into an office and try to do the beginning of the LEAD model with no product. The person who pushed that crap on Kowa should be fired, yet in their persistence to make it work, the insanity continues. Supposedly the contract is signed. Make the announcement already and let’s start training. Let’s enter the field WITH normal marketing material and begin some real selling. Did the good ‘ol boys in Montgomery learn nothing from Seglentis? Please make it stop! Please act like a normal company this go-around!

Did the good ‘ol boys in Montgomery learn nothing from Seglentis? Please make it stop! Please act like a normal company this go-around!
The problem is that the managers secretly agree with the reps and will tell us in private how horrible this business practice is but in front of their superiors they will never admit it. AGAIN this is not an injustice to the reps but to the company as a whole. They are not doing themselves any favors with the PR. Its trash. Atleast we as reps can eventually find new jobs and leave, the stench of the poor choices and the e poor reputation will not be removed from the company unfortunately. I feel bad for the Japanese owners because they have bent over backwards to make this company stay afloat. Get it together JM and JF.
Hire an outside consulting company to teach you how to lead. You both suck at it, with all due respect, which at this point is none. Zero respect for either of you loonies.

Kowa Japan needs to grow some balls and fire JM and JF. JF has not worked for any other pharmaceutical company. They aren’t experience enough. Nothing against them. The “we are all family” is silly now. Because that doesn’t not matter now.

I actually believe it this time. There would not be a target list and new territories if there wasn’t a product lined up. But this meet and greet stuff is messed up!
 






I joined Kowa to help sell Seglentis omg I'm so sorry but wow, total shit show. I was also told by my DM that their job was to weed out unproductive salespeople so bring on the harassment yikes. So I now work for one of the largest health systems in my region and trust me, coming into offices without ANY idea of what you're selling is a COMPLETE waste of everyone's time. Explain to management that you're being told to not bother offices until you actually know your what your product is, you've been trained on it, what we can expect with regard to managed care coverage and oh for goodness sake make sure the rebates and coupons work properly. Rooting for you!

They’re hiring a ton of college grads and paying them $2 expecting top quality sales acumen which is yet another failure of the “leadership” team.

Not necessarily. A lot of the elder reps are fat and happy. Sometimes the youngsters bring energy, although they are annoying to train for us on their teams . Also, some of them are ridiculously entitled!

I’m not saying there is anything wrong with hiring new grads but any corporation who hires them should expect at least a year of incompetence before they learn the skills of sales.

JM and his yes man again do not know what they are doing. The grass is greener on the other side. Forcing reps into office without anything official makes them look dumb! Look how SEG was launched with 325 reps. Now Kowa barely have 100 reps.

I am not talking product , disease state, and the offices are fine. If you are catching shit from ur offices, you’re not doing it right.
