MANAGER SITTING IN CAR

I would like some CF advice. My manager always sits in the car during ride days. He NEVER goes into an office, then I get my rating at the end of the year based on these phony ride days. Should I report him? I want to know that my rating is legitimate. So frustrating :(

He doesn't go into the offices with you???? I would love him!

you are so lucky- my manager is annoying and all the offices hate his guts, he is arrogant and asks stupid questions to the staff and doctors. the guy is like a used car sales man-so sleazy and gross....i wish he would stay in the car and put a plastic bag over his fat head

Yes, except for at review time he "spreads around" the good ratings from one year to the next. It's not based on anything. Not that there's a big difference between people, but why do we even have a manager if they won't go in an office! Is there any way the HO can poll physicians on this to ensure that managers are at least going in an office on a ride day? What a waste.

Yes they are a big waste. But at least sitting in the car makes your life easier. Little hint: unless you do something really stupid or really amazing, your score is pretty much determined before they ride with you.

you are a stupid fuck! most reps would love a dm who stayed in the car , you report him and the next dick will make you from 8am until 6pm and then do the eval while you sit in a starbucks untill 730pm. You are a real idiot!

could not be more accurate. score is pre-derermined. then dm just needs to see one or two calls to validate the score. if its a decent score he/she will document a 'good' call. if it's gonna be a bad score he/she will document how you didn't close, have 'impact', etc.

it's a game, learn the rulebook

I guess my first question would be "What kind of rating does he give you?" Are you happy with the rating? If so, I would say just move on and do your job. Don't worry about other people not doing their job. If you report him, it is very likely that in the end, he will just get pissed off at you and before you know it, he will make up some crap and simply fire you. If you open your mouth, it will be you or him. From experience, I can tell you that the home office almost always sides with management.

There's a space for comments on your evaluation. You can let your dm know how you feel and get some b*$ls and ask him/her to come in so you can be evaluated more accurately, you can ignore it and take what you get, or you can fill in the comments and save them for documentation. Your career, your choice.

Funny mine just comes to town for a meal then leaves. That's a one day ride along. I wonder why coporate doesn't check their computer GPS to see where they are and if they are even in the terriroty during the entire "Ride Day".
