Manager HR Violations

I have heard of at least one mgr let go following a complaint though I'm sure that's not the norm. Has anyone been through the Office of Ethics, or any other program here, and actually had their situation improve?

The problem is the only way to stop violations of the law is to sue and mother has deep pockets.

Why don't you ask Patty Drake about trying to get rid of bad managers? She's a DCO for the Midwest. They tried to get rid of one who made so many HR violations your head would spin. Numerous complaints...blatant HR violations...reverse discrimination...hiring her friends and promoting only her friends while other people cut the slack...really good people leaving because of her...none of it could hold up after 10 years of this manager being one of the worst ever. Her employees hated her and still do. Many customers have expressed dislike for this manager as well. She gets to keep her job, though! Good work!!!

Merck HR is useless and lets everyone down!!!

Same thing happened in Connecticut, she still has a job after several complaints were filed and yet she has fired 2 reps in the past month....hmmm...go figure.

Only if the rep lasts long enough to get help from HR. Only if HR actually would help. Only if the director cares enough to push the case. Usually the rep would leave before anything is done.

Managers under the direction of their DCO's are forcing reps to not only speak up more at meetings about best practices but they are also forcing reps that have any vaccine experience into sharing all of their knowledge through special projects. Why? Because MVID leadership has no idea what they are doing nor do they care and they are getting ready for the next phase to let go more reps and higher Inventive reps for less.

The current leadership feels vaccines are an easy sell and they get cheap labor to do it. Leadership also has their eyes set on foreign markets like China where they know they can grow the business and probably get away with paying next to nothing for reps overseas. You add the Sunshine Act to the mix and you can pretty much guarantee the traditional U.S. Vaccine rep position is gone in the next two years.

This quote is desribing Tom Lyon in the Midwest for sure.
