Management Panic

Base salaries here are a joke. You have 3x IC winners making $70k and dsr's that have never won anything making $100+, some up to $120k. The Collegenix salaries are the biggest BS. There is no rhyme or reason why the majority at Galderma are so underpaid. Management is in a panic now that they know all the reps are talking and sharing information on salaries. It is just causing an unhealthy environment. They know attrition is coming. Big time. No one is going to stay while they are so underpaid. Hell, even Taro and Aqua are paying north of 100. And with 3 new derm salesforces being built in the next 9-12 months, you'll be lucky to recognize a face other than the one you see in the mirror at the POA's.

They do not care- this has been going on for years and the people who tried to fix got the boot several years ago. This current bunch is just covering their rear ends. Trust me the post from someone who said leave we can replace you with cheaper labor is from management and they are more interested in reinstating their lucrative profit sharing ( that is not going to happen) then keeping us and doing the right thing.

The one post is correct more derm opportunities coming and the smaller companies are also growing and will be adding more reps this year and next. Get ready to make your move. What was once a great job is now long gone.

Funny thing is, G didn't need to do the layoffs in December. Based on the convos I have had, we are on the eve of a MASSIVE exodus. The ignorant G will be crippled after the next 3-6 months.

You people are so spoiled. You have no idea how well you have it here. This is the best company in pharma. Go ahead, leave. G is going to prosper under Nestle's umbrella and you will miss out on a lucrative future.

I can't believe people are complaining about making $70-100k base. Sure you can go to another company and make a higher base, but you complain about low bonus here but they are way worse at other companies. Go to a company outside of pharma and expect much lower base, no car, pay for your own gas and insurance, no lunch per diem. I feel extremely lucky to have this job. Stop complaining and start working. All of you who complain about our base obviously have been spoiled pharma reps their entire career and never started from ground up. And no, this is not management, it's a employee who doesn't make the highest base compared to others but works hard and makes great money!

I also agree. And, sales are going OK in my area. If more people focused on their jobs and stopped worrying about management, etc, they would be happier.

I am glad some of the newer folks are happy to be here. that is great. But please do not fool yourself. Nestle has been a principle owner for over 20 years now they have it to themselves. But, please do not think we are now lead by experienced pharma people that know how to compete in a branded world in the US. And that my friends is the real problem. We will be selling diaper wipes for Nestle Pediatrics in the coming years. Oh - my mistake we already are they are called Cetaphil wipes - same thing. That is the future no innovation and basically selling low margin over the counter products to derms and peds.

I for one am on to greener pastures.

Until upper management gets their heads out of their a**es, very few will make money here. You may have had a good month in Jan, but that won't last the year. Oracea, Mirvaso, Epiduo quotas are so unacheivable it's laughable. 45% growth in Epiduo??? The industry is laughing at us.
