Love Genentech?

- being jerked around with one size fits all goal setting
- management that leads by intimidation
- Managers that are in over their head
- lack of any semblance of transparency when that is all mgmt touts
- crappy bonus

Anyone care to chime in?

We are cut throat, political, pretenious, lazy, and jealous. I can't wait to leave. NSM seems like a waste of money as well.....lots of excessive drinking, gambling, free gifts and entertainment. I find this disgusting. Time to leave.

1) we aren’t cut throat..but I won’t deny much else you said
2) are you just posting this on every thread? Haha

There's not much to love about this company. It's a total joke. No one works. Not a single person understands business. Lots of wasted money on employees and not on selling a drug. This place is an absolute joke. And the people are idiots.

how much $$$ are reps allowed to spend on personal meals each day when traveling overnight?

how much $$$ allowed for breakfast?
how much $$$ allowed for lunch?
how much $$$ allowed for dinner?

how does this daily allotment compare to industry standards?

For personal meals, I was told that it is around $135 just for dinner that reps can spend on themselves? Is this accurate?

I submit that when 4 or more employees have dinner together, the majority will approach the limit. Apps, cocktails, wine with dinner, and dessert. The limit does not include tax and tip so the amount can easily be 25 - 30% higher. Dinner for 4 can easily hit $600+.

This is disturbing. Greed. A Genentech sales rep really spends $135 on a dinner for themselves? This is not normal behavior, and definitely not normal industry standards. How much is allowed for breakfast and lunch?

FYI - I've been with GNE for over 15 years and never spent anywhere near $135 on dinner for myself. Always a few embarrassing outliers.
