Looking to join Covidien

Run! I know your question was for the med device side, but for pharma....RUN RUN RUN, this is the worst division! Poor management, back stabbing and unethical/illegal practices are far too common among the pharma management!

If the FDA pulls a few threads re: branded drug development, they will uncover enough unethical leadership practices to shut the place down.

Or you can get a job that is worth your time. Covidien is home of the people that settle(I am guilty of this). Managers, reps and corporate office flunkies alike. The company is based around that mentality. "well covidien is better than nothing and I would rather have something than nothing so why not" The whole corporate culture is based around the fact that its either here or nothing. Great company to work for let me tell you. If I hear one more goofy mid level manager tell me there are 1000 people willing to take my job and I should be grateful im going to go apeshit. This company sucks.

This is spot on! Pharma side is horrible, full of ex J&J jokers and so bad most people don't even put Covidien on their resume! Most careers are very short lived here in Pharma!

I agree. Unless you can't find anything else and are desperate, I'd continue looking elsewhere. Heard they layed off over 100 people throughout Mally last week in pharma as a start to the spin-off. More to come. Nothing new in the pipeline that will sustain the company for the long-term. Company is unstable and who knows how long it will survive on its own after the spin.

Can anyone give me some feed back regarding the Medical Supply Segment for Covidien? I am interviewing and would like to know what the avg. payout commission on top of the 44K Base? Can you tell me what the Fleet Car they use is? Any thoughts on Regional Manager Matt Larson? I know this is alot in one post but I would really appreciate any feedback. I do not want to make a big mistake!
You are going to take a base of $44k? You call out the regional in a CP post? You actually believe "alot" is a word? Go back to rental cars.
