Looking to break into sales with AstraZeneca

If you're really lucky......never!
Take this job only if you want your brain turned to mush, your self esteem totally destroyed as well as any future opportunities because of this huge red flag on your resume. Add in the fact that there is no career path here so if you might last 5 years before they run you out for a cheaper newbie.

I'm looking to break into the industry as well. I've been out of school since 2000 and have worked in b2b sales for the past 6 years. I recently had my phone interview with AZ and have completed the behavioral assessements. I'm not happy to hear such negative feedback about the company. I applied for a phama specialist working with primary care physician sector.

What is avg base salary for this position with no previous pharma sales in New York?

Run Forrest Run. There is no future here but heartache, broken promises and destroyed dreams.

WHY- Did they have 3 days of interviews for various positions last week in south FL if they are laying off??? WTF???

The simple answer is the best one, grasshopper.

It takes no skill to be a pharma rep, if you can obey orders and show the computer, you can do the job, despite all of the BS to the contrary, of which there is an overwhelming amount at AZ.

The reason they are firing people whilst hiring new ones is price.

(By the way, the same standard AZ lives by as an employer they pretend to exempt themselves from as a seller. So if you get the job, $5.50 per pill for a product that the competition sells for $0.50 is something we don't talk about...)

This process is complete bs, I meet it exceed every requirement listed on the application, and I haven't even heard a response yet. I submitted the application 3 weeks ago.

You are not entitled to a job, an interview, or even a response. You are what is wrong with America these days.

Did he claim this entitlement?

I understand his position. Ignoring him is disrespectful, and no answer is ignoring him. (AZ did the same thing to me, and then they hired me, about a month after they said they'd call.) I got so high like three days before, on a ski trip, I thought for sure I'd fail the drug test.

But they even called and specifically told me, "You passed the drug test." Thought that was weird. They must have only been looking for hard drugs, not pot. Oh well. Go figure AZ. Like they give a shit about anything except making whatever their number is.
