DM here-be assured that management and HR are tracking these posts. Whenever we see accusations on leadership perks our legal dep't is invoked.

Well I don't see names mentioned here. Just what what is happening to IT being put into a position to either endure a long and expensive commute or quit. I guess HR doesn't care about that part.
TRUE HR is not concerned about commute time. That's not in their job description, as long as it doesn't lead to lawsuits. They have it in for IT though, for whatever reason. Maybe it's the fad these days to dump on and outsource IT.
They know Informatics types are easy pushovers and will not push back.
This time around though it will be different. I have never seen such a unified group of those affected who are ready to take it to the next level.
It's no surprise that the little fat boy they brought in to break the news to us earlier in the month was too scared to give us the straight answer on the 50 miles severance.
It's not just Informatics that is on the receiving end of the screwjob.
Someone had mentioned about a good/ aggressive lawyer. Can you please give the name so I can take it forward!
IT are the "cable guys" of corporate America.
DM here- we do not approve of any IT ers getting into legal disputes with management. STOP this thread here and now. We expect that relocation problems can be worked out over time as we assess on a case by case basis. Some effected employees may in fact receive some reimbursement. It is imperative that you inform your manager of your issues with the relocation. Do not get any outside attorneys in the loop as it may compromise your employment. Thank you.
