His lousy HR policies of too many hiring freezes and valuing years of service over performance for cuts led to the imbalance. The 2017 VERP was said to be a purge so they would hire millennials. Sales force made is easier to show it. But Fry gets his golden parachute and is allowed to retire w a pension. HR leadership is still filled w his brain dead sycophants.

Finally sued by the government, There are a lot of people fired in that same period that were over 45-50 years old for bogus reasons. And then replaced by a millennial. This should be a class action suit in itself.
There was an age discrimination class action suit that Lilly just settled in the last few months.
