Lilly sued by EEOC

Good. This one is by the EEOC, not employees, alleging sales force hiring discrimination from 2017-2021. Steve Fry is such a moron, he stood up in a leadership meeting in 2017 bitching about employees being too old. His lousy HR policies of too many hiring freezes and valuing years of service over performance for cuts led to the imbalance. The 2017 VERP was said to be a purge so they would hire millennials. Sales force made is easier to show it. But Fry gets his golden parachute and is allowed to retire w a pension. HR leadership is still filled w his brain dead sycophants.

Very true!

Finally sued by the government, There are a lot of people fired in that same period that were over 45-50 years old for bogus reasons. And then replaced by a millennial. This should be a class action suit in itself.

There was an age discrimination class action suit that Lilly just settled in the last few months.

Yeah, but ... your link outlines only the original complaint.
It does NOT support your contention that this lawsuit has been settled.
Do you have something to show this civil case has been negotiated to a "settlement"?

Just before I left a while back, another staff member told me that the company already got its pound of flesh… not long after they made it UNBEARABLE for me to be there… foolish collaborations with slackers, just feeding off my results, it is always a win/win for Lilly HR.

Let me guess, you left in the 2-3 years preceding the 2017 end-of-year VERP?

In the case Equal Employment Opportunity Commission v. Astra USA, the court held that Title VII of the Civil Rights Act prevents employers from interfering with the EEOC’s ability to investigate charges of discrimination and that any agreement which prohibits or interferes with an employee’s communication with the EEOC is void as a matter of public policy. In short, a contract does not override federal and state laws that protect employees from discrimination.

yeah and I hear that age discrimination and male discrimination is rearing its ugly head with the candidate selection and offers going out for the Zepbound sales force. It’s really embarrassing that this stuff is still going on.
