Anyone with a shred of self respect and dignity left this hole years ago.

I can’t think of many sales jobs where your relationships have zero value. Once medicine goes generic will your relationships help you make new sales? If you have wonderful relationships in infectious disease or cardiology, will those relationships land you a job launching an oncology medicine? In other sales fields like insurance sales or even car sales your relationships of previous customers still bring in revenue. Past car customers renew leases with same sales person. Car sales get lease renewals. Insurance sales get premium renewals. In pharmaceuticals once your medicine goes generic good luck leveraging your cardiology customers in getting your oncology medicine on formulary. Pharmaceuticals is truly the worst. Bringing breakfast, lunch, and snacks to office staff really does not build your skill set. Car sales have no home office field visits, no virtual meetings, dinner programs and compliance issues. Car sales people in large metro areas can make 300k a year. Pharmaceutical representatives are fired.
 
















But what about all the great remaining Celgene people?
The rubbish that Celgene left behind are not moving. They are functioning as an org within an org. All BMS are off limits in this group and that’s how they keep their jobs. They have not integrated 5 years post integration. Anyone who has made their way into this niche group are kicked out sooner than later. Weak BMS leadership let this happen and many of them are laid off giving Celgene the last laugh. Take that BMS.
