Please provide the link. Is this inside information, because it's not public-yet.
Well, it is either another unsubstantiated rumor or it is insider information since it hasn't been officially announced yet. There is absolutely no doubt that Solstas is for sale and will be sold to the first willing buyer.
Solstas will be sold. Will it be to Labcorp? Will it be announced next week? We'll see...

Only way anyone purchases them is for pennies.

Quest is buying Solstas. Unless the deal falls through. Quest is a publicly traded company so the deal has to be publicly announced as soon as it is finalized to avoid insider trading.

Guess LCA fished behind the net. DGX walked away with the prize.
First time I've ever heard Solstas referred to as a prize. And I worked at Solstas (legacy Spectrum) for 4 years.
You can thank Dave King for losing this deal. He is the one that thru DW with Solstas under the bus. DW only used LabCorp to drive up the price. Quest knew they had the last right of refusal. The joke is on LabCorp and now Solstas has a firm foot print in North Carolina, right in your back door. Thanks Dave King! Finally this jack ass is exposed!

Doubtful. Huge chunks of Solstas business came from LabCorp. These customers will continue to shun LabCorp.

All of the long-time LabCorp people will tell you how DW took 'the hit' with the govt … he resigned his job to fall on the sword for LabCorp.
Of course, now that he is selling, DW is getting the last laugh … as a form of cashing out.
LabCorp would have had to divest too much business to make it worth the price … think about it … same thing that has happened with other regional labs. Only makes sense for LabCorp to buy the ones like this that give us a foothold in the West, etc.

LOL! LabCorp put so many good people through a RIF it is ridiculous. All of them rejects? Hardly. It is amazing how many of these were political because of a SVP with an axe to grind. So many of these folks were long term employees; they certainly did not go brain dead overnight. No, many of these people went to Quest and to regionals like Solstas where they made a positive contribution.
