i think the writer is simply implying what many of us have seen. Directors that do not show up at offices or accounts. They are always "on a conference call" but never have any corporate messages to share. They are the first to arrive only when corporate officials are in town. Don't know or acknowledge a single driver or employee that isn't in their very small circle. Corporate should take notice and realize that some of these directors and managers offer little or no value. Just ask when is the last time that you have used your great age, your contacts, and experience to help your employees close an account?
