Is it true that Axsome laid off the bottom 10% of their sales force and the new hires are now on hold because of a freeze on company expansion?
Waiting to hear confirmation myself. Tried to reach hiring manager for the last 2 days, no reply. I wish they just be upfront and honest. Is it true that Axsome laid off the bottom 10% of their sales force and the new hires are now on hold because of a freeze on company expansion?
No way. We haven’t even been on the market for a full year. No company would do that this early in the game.Is it true that Axsome laid off the bottom 10% of their sales force and the new hires are now on hold because of a freeze on company expansion?
If you have another job offer, I’d take itWaiting to hear confirmation myself. Tried to reach hiring manager for the last 2 days, no reply. I wish they just be upfront and honest.
There is no way they would do that! The product hasn’t even reached the 1 year mark since we were out in the field. This is a small company that takes pride in their culture. Is it true that Axsome laid off the bottom 10% of their sales force and the new hires are now on hold because of a freeze on company expansion?

It’s true. Manager just told our team. There is no way they would do that! The product hasn’t even reached the 1 year mark since we were out in the field. This is a small company that takes pride in their culture.
Someone tell Brad he can no longer say “You never walk alone” with a straight faceIt’s true. Manager just told our team.
Less than a year in market and already laying off.
Drug companies are always bad but I’ve never worked for one this deceitful from the start. Laying off this early in the launch is just another red flag.

This is extremely disappointing. Did they give these people that left stable jobs to come here at least a severance? Y’all have a feeling like I do that we were conned on the culture?Someone tell Brad he can no longer say “You never walk alone” with a straight face
LOL. firing shitty reps is a far cry from "layoffs"; everyone I've heard that's gone had virtually no sales for 9 months post launch. Not even 6 months after acquiring Sunosi, they did a quiet and sneaky realignment, displaced reps and offered crappy packages. These people can’t be trusted, after all, they’re castaways from 3rd tier pharma companies!
LOL did they also fire the managed care people?LOL. firing shitty reps is a far cry from "layoffs"; everyone I've heard that's gone had virtually no sales for 9 months post launch.

This is my 4th drug launch. All but 1 waited for at least the 2 year mark before realignment and layoffs. 1 did have layoffs under a year and was soon smoked by the competition, even though we were first to market, and many of us were laid off in a second wave by year 2. In retrospect, poor planning. Not saying that will happen, but it’s definitely something to pay attention to. Is Axsome being too reactive? Or does NYC actually have a plan other than oh crap better do something quick and/or $ell. I feel sorry for my displaced coworkers. I know a couple of them left stable jobs. Time will tell if this was a good gamble for the rest of us.There is no way they would do that! The product hasn’t even reached the 1 year mark since we were out in the field.
