Layoffs 100%

Look, take a minute to survey the current situation at BI. It's not a very bullish look. Chances are that a RIF is on the horizon, probably sooner than later. It's the nature of the industry and BI doesn't have much to back up J in the near future and it's a given that the same could be done with less as the brand winds down. So, hang on or move on but BI could not care less about you or your situation. It will happen based on revenue projections and those are looking a bit thin right now. Good luck gang.

This post 100%. Think about it from a business standpoint. And remember Godfather. ‘It’s not personal, Sonny. It’’s strictly business.’

Face the facts. Jardiance is a huge product but consider the baggage. Its net revenue is maybe 20% after you factor in discounts, rebates, etc. not take that and basically cut it in half and send to our ‘partner’ Lilly. Jardiance growth will begin slowing regardless of how much promotional efforts it gets. And not with J’Biden proposing weight loss drugs be covered by Medicare, more business goes to GLP1’s resulting in further slowing of Jardiance growth.

BI is a business and when business starts to slow or diminish, cuts need to be made. That’s how you run a business.

Truth! This is a business with no guarantees or loyalties.

Spot on!

Add to that Farxiga’s patent expiration in April ‘26 (assuming pediatric extension). I give anyone who touches Jardiance 6 months. Maybe they can squeak it out until July ‘25 before cuts happen. Take these next 6 months to max your performance, update your résumé and get a job lined up. I expect many internal folks to leave immediately after the crappy VPR is paid out. Then the field people stick around until they get IC payout in July then they double dip with severance while starting a new job.

Sometimes you’re Michael and sometimes your Fredo. Say your Hail Mary’s.

VPR will takes its toll July time frame sounds about right.

Is Mo Green still running the Vegas territory? I heard he was trying to get muscled out of there by some NYC transplants.
He had to push my brother ‘Fred’ around a little bit. Apparently behaving portly around some of the staff. People could get samples. Mo was a great director. He had great vision until that unfortunate accident that hurt his eyesight. What we really need is senator Geary to help us out with some of the state policies. But allegedly he doesn’t like ‘our kind’ in pharma.

Internal folks leaving isn’t going to affect sales team IMO. Marketing won’t be jumping ship any time soon. If you’ve been here for 20 years that’s a year’s severance and would be worth sticking around to see what may happen. If you’re less than 5 years I’d be getting prepared for something to occur in 2025.
