The company IS laying people off and not giving them a reason. Two high levels were axed last week. The employee survey says that 50% of the people there feel like they will be let go. This is all being done very quietly but the news is catching on. Theybplan at least another 177. It seems like they are commuting suicide!

If you bothered to read my posts regarding the future of the industry on the marketing side, you would know exactly what was happening, junior. Sometimes I wonder why I continuously put forth the effort. Every once in a while though, it is refreshing to see my message resonate. If Quest Diagnostics is to continue as a great institution, we must all do our part to mentor and educate the next generation. Hope this helps.

Your message does resonate with everyone but lists of problems with no suggestions for solutions is only adding to the issue. I’m Your opinion, what can be done to the industry as a whole to create better reimbursements, lower operating costs and increased pay for the people that do the work. In addition, how do you propose that we solve the PAMA issue as well as other legislation slated to go into effect this year? I hear tour pain and complaints but simply think that complaining is part of the issue. Please let us all know what it is that will solve all
of the industries issues. You could just give us the answer and we could all stop typing and get back to what we are good at!

First of all son, you should return to wherever you acquired your high school equivalency to demand a refund and start all over. Even an entry level position at Quest Diagnostics will require basic communication skills and an online GED will not get you past the initial interview. Hope this helps.

That is the first true statement you have ever made Dad even though it does not help anyone.
 






The stock is down 50% off the highs...the UHC transition is a train wreck. Imagine the new group of patients that have UHC that will be calling their docs offices claiming billing issues.

Reimbursement continues to decline and the acquisitions of market share (by purchasing companies) has shown to be a loser (Cleveland heart, Shiel, etc)

How can they not lay people off. The ones that get laid off should be thankful-the ones that stay will continue to bitch about quest while they babysit their accounts-not actually selling anything.

Nothing ever changed here-things only get worse at this bloated organization. Lol

Impossible to have change with stale leadership. We have it at many levels. Many people have overstayed their usefulness( if ever useful)

There is some truth in that statement for once. Classic example is these surveys we are told to take from time to measure our happiness. Filled out quite a few over the years and never saw a single change come as result.

It’s way too early to assess UHC’s success. We are three months away from most of these accounts even being set up in the system. No reasonable person would believe this contract is NOT a big win. The longer game: Quest Dx has skin in the UHC game via value-base care principles and is leading this new managed care paradigm. Managed Care drives our industry and value-based care contracting is now at the wheel.
