The only good change will be when they finally put Lantheus out of it's misery. If people could leave they would. Those that can are and have left. Those left behind are waiting for their turn to be on a "plan".
 




i am interviewing for a sales position, after reading some of the attached I am going to reconsider. the district manager told me to only join if i had now where to go and then leave when i get a better opportunity.

is it true that all of the senior management team are on a plan?

My advice ask around. Find out who other reps are in the district for a contact. What area are you interviewing for? The company is a meat grinder. One good product in bag but at it's at lifecycle limit. No one is happy trust me. If you are unemployed then continue interviewing otherwise keep shopping.
 








If you think Sales is F/U be glad you're not in Manufacturing or Quality. On a good day it's a sweat shop. Otherwise and most of the time your treated like an endentured servant i.e. "we're paying you so your ass belongs to us and don't forget it"! Management's objective in these departments is to work people into the ground by continually demanding more and more and more from them, and then finally laying them off. The cycle perpetuates itself by asking even more of those remaining employees (slaves) till it becomes their turn to get canned! The way the executive leadership (LOL) is running this company its future may be ending up as nuclear waste site. OMG, I think I just gave Kiepert an idea to run with!!

BD (manufac) & IG (Quality) are hacks and looking to climb as high up the ladder as they can on the backs of working stiffs. Anyone know if IG has learned to speak descernable english yet? The more complex the the topic the less understadable she is. Good strategy on her part to play ignorant by being ignorant.

Ben Venue Laboratories, Inc. Update on Drug Manufacturing

Bedford, OH – December 23, 2011 – Ben Venue Laboratories, Inc., ("Ben Venue") has announced its decision to extend the voluntary suspension of manufacturing at its Bedford, OH facility, originally announced on November 19, in order to uphold its commitment to providing the highest attention to quality and product safety, and to permit the implementation of lasting corrective actions. The original suspension took place after an internal review indicated that routine preventive maintenance and requalification of some manufacturing equipment was overdue. These issues have also been noted in recent inspection findings by the FDA, EMA, and other global regulatory agencies. Ben Venue continues to conduct a site-wide assessment in order to fully understand the potential impact and implement any appropriate corrective actions that may be needed as quickly as possible to ensure that healthcare providers and patients have access to the medicines they need.

Ben Venue has been working with global regulatory agencies over the past few years to balance the need to continue supplying patients and healthcare professionals with safe and effective critical medicines while addressing manufacturing and quality-related issues. However, Ben Venue is now in a position where it can no longer continue to manufacture and remediate simultaneously and must direct its focus on addressing manufacturing-related issues.

Ben Venue’s operation in Bedford, OH is one of the largest sterile injectable facilities in the world, with aseptic filling, lyophilization and cytotoxic manufacturing in four factories. Due to the distinct technologies and manufacturing processes in each of Ben Venue’s factories, issues are being addressed separately. As we address the facility and equipment issues in each factory, we will resume production, likely one line at a time. We are now working to restore some manufacturing in the first quarter of 2012, and will provide updates as they become available.

A substantial investment of time and resources will be required to make necessary improvements in the North facility, where several sterile injectable drugs currently in short supply are manufactured. The facility requires major reconstruction that may take up to nine months to complete. We anticipate that no products manufactured in the North facility will be available to patients and healthcare professionals before the fourth quarter of 2012. It should be noted that these expectations are based on our current plans and may be revised in the future.

As many of the products that Ben Venue produces are critical to patient care, the impact of our inability to produce these products weighs heavily on us. Our highest priority is to resume manufacturing and delivery of safe and effective products, and we are committed to working as quickly as possible to resolve the issues that have affected production.

November 19, 2011 – Ben Venue Laboratories, Inc, (“Ben Venue”) has voluntarily and temporarily suspended manufacture and distribution of products produced in its Bedford, OH facility.

(BVL) has decided to transition out of the Contract Manufacturing Services business over the next several years. BVL is working with its customers to develop and implement comprehensive long-term transition plans in order to minimize potential impact of product supply. Interesting that leadership/ sales mgmt is NOT speaking to the current state of BVL and the potential impact on LMI....sad, sad times are a coming'! Please read and be aware of your severance pkg benefits.
 




Well, now that this information is out in the light of day my guess is that management will shortly come out with a statement about it. It will start with something like this- in the interest of full disclosure and our policy of maintaing honest communication with our dedicated employees...yadah yadah yadah. You get the picture. Don't be surprised if employees are asked to sacrifice something to keep the business afloat. I suggest they start with canceling Executive and Leadership team bonuses and their pay raises due in 2012. After all their decisions are responsible for the current situation. Funny how they always take credit for successes but never the blame for failures. You and I and our peers would be and have been fired for miscues of far less impact than this. The people running this company are scoundrels, which includes several turncoats that have done so to feather their own nests.
 




Success has a thousand fathers while failure is the lost orphan. Hopefully someone will by the business like GE or Cardinal and provide retention bonuses to those long time employees who actually built the business. Hopefully that $ will make up for all the cuts and no annual increases to employees during LMIs watch. Im sure SLT will still get the biggest retentions..its a joke...hopefully someone can see the greatness of this company and come in and clean house to start a new.
