Kythera

Some will keep and some will loose their jobs. After taxes, their stock payout will be worth around 5 months of a standard base salary. If they land a great job quickly, it was worth it? If not, bad decision. The ones that keep their job will be miserable at their new company. They thought goals were too high here? Give it a few months and read the complaints on the Allergan board.

Three months severance plus five months stock plus unemployment check is almost ten months pay for four months of work. Thats why I went to kythera.

I'm not sure what state you live in but unemployment at $275 per week won't get anybody far. I'd like to see where it says three months severance for an employee that just came onboard and you better net out the tax consequences of that stock. Still happy you left?

Actually it's 4 months severance and equal to or more than a year's base salary after taxes. Not bad for what will be max 5 months work. Everyone knew Kythera would sell and Allergan makes the most sense. Disappointed it wasn't a little further down the line, but I'll take the money and run to whatever is next.

Kythera was the fastest takeover ever it is beyond laughable

To the Galderma dusch with the "Law Degree" you must be a looser. 3 years And over 100k spent on a Law degree and you are working in PHarma? Something wrong with you. Go back and read the fine print asswhole. 5000 shares fully vested and 4 months severance. 200k for 3 months of work, it's ok for me.

Im not the one with a law degree, but I think the fine print may not be honored. You see, that "paperwork" came from Kythera, not your new owner. Your new owner WILL NOT pay what they paid to acquire you AND pay 5000 shares fully vested and 4 months severance. You may get the stocks, but if you think AG will not give you 4 months severance (considering its usually based on years worked for any employer).

All of the sales folks who think they are getting 200k from a company that just hired them and they have sold nothing better think again. Need to take a look at the severance language and vesting documentation one more time.

Good luck re interviewing for a job that you just interviewed for and will have to interview again. Allergan will keep some but not all. Who jumps ship to a startup with one product that has a high rate of issues before it even hits the market. Did you really think they would have the cash and marketing expertise to take it to market and expand internationally?

Hilarious the bullshit on here. First, why are you so concerned whether or not we get our stock and option money? Jealous? Second, I love in one breath the good luck being retained and in the next breath you won't get your option money. The one thing that is written as plain as day is that if we have an involuntary termination due to a change in control we are fully vested with 4 months severance. So you pieces of shit that seem more concerned about trying to rub it in our faces than closing your quarter can kiss my ass.

Anyone can get a law degree but passing the BAR is another story.
