Maybe I’m just old school, but I think my relationships with my surgeons are mine not my companies. If a company’s product offering is so superior that my surgeons won’t follow me then I won’t leave.
But wouldn’t these companies be better served trying to keep these reps happy than fight them in court?
Every company poaches reps, so why act surprised when it happens? Depuy is actively trying to do the same thing as Stryker and Zimmer.
 






KY reps that left were lazy. Yes, obviously relationships were there, that's a given in this business. Its a shame the surgeons don't realize all they are doing is fattening their reps pockets. They just harvested the accounts. Don't know of any conversations from them in over 5 years. It helps that the distributor for S&N is one of the reps brother in law. Let them harvest their accounts. They will think they are awesome with the conversions, but won't be any true "new" business. Time will tell.........
 






isnt that the truth. Those guys are worth less. I know the whole story. The only one with any integrity left a few years back after his “team” went whining to the distributor about $$. He went with a start up as Clunical Director and the team threw him under the bus regarding his non compete. I’ve lost touch, but he had to move his whole family out of state and pay thousands in legal fees.
I’ve worked with all these guys in the o.r and he was by far the most respected by the docs.
